    • Pretty darn accurate, can reset too if off caliber
After I bought a wrong bike seat tube, I decided I need one of this gadgets. Well, it did not disappoint and it's pretty darn accurate for measuring diameter or cylindrical items (which is usually very hard with regular ruler). I have tried it on different things, and appreciate both the digital reader as well as the scales on the device itself. If it's somehow off, you can recalibrate it as well pretty easily. These calipers are accurate when compared to my current dial calipers. I use this type of measuring device in all my woodworking projects. If you have accurate thickness and widths all your parts will fit together properly, and the project will go much smoother. These calipers are accurate with a clear display. While I typically work with fractional decimals, I do appreciate the stacked fraction display option. This product also does millimeter, of which I only have occasional use for. The fit and finish is good and the head slides smoothly. I have never had any parts of a caliper break, but having extra parts included is a good thing. I took one star off for a distracting issue to me. I have used both dial and digital calipers for over 20 years. All the digital calipers I have used have fractional decimal numerals all the same size or the inch slightly larger with all the same height to the right of the decimal. These however have a considerably larger Inch and tenth (first place right and left of the decimal point) and much smaller hundredths and thousands place (see photos). This is distracting to me. It looks like the Tenth is an inch marking if you are measuring anything under an inch, for example .75. In this example the 7 would be larger than the 5 making it look like 7.5 to me. This may not be an issue for someone new to caliper use or one may be able to get used to this, but I am not there yet and not sure if I will be able to get used to this. If you are comfortable with the number sizes, then these are good and accurate calipers at a good price. ... show more

These are well made accurate Calipers which surprised me at this price point. Definitely a good value for the money. They work smoothly and are tight. Once zero'd they hold it well during use. The battery compartment is secure and easy to get to. The case that comes with this is VERY sturdy and will protect this measuring tool well. In my pictures I show the Weight of the Calipers alone, The Case Alone, and then the Calipers in the Case. The Calipers Alone are over 6 ounces. I'm impressed with these and trust them to give good readings. I highly recommend these to anyone who needs well made, accurate Calipers and has a limited budget. ... show more
