Really chunky grippy handle on this thing. Great for really tight nuts but not suited for particularly tight spaces. Disappointed that it does not magnetize hardly at all. Also the metallic coating is starting to flake off on the end of mine after relatively mild use. Another fine tool by Wera. I can't say enough good things about Wera tools. The handle on this driver is very comfortable. I also own a Wera ratcheting screwdriver with same handle but since it stores bits inside the handle (push button ejection) it feels different because its not solid inside. The handle on this driver feels more solid and can easily permit one to apply more torque. I actually purchased this as a cheap way to test the Wera handle on a non bit-holder type, and also because I use 5/16 in on hose clamps often. If you need a good nut-driver then look no further. A few other things worth mentioning, the shaft is hollow which means you can easily looses or tighten nuts on long bolts or standoffs (nice feature); the handle will not roll off of surfaces due to the anti-roll design; and it has size and type markings on the end of the handle in nice gold letters that stand out. The driver does not weight very much but is well balanced and feels like a quality tool. I will be purchasing a full set of nut drivers from Wera soon. ... show more

The quality of this tool seems very nice. Wera is a German tool company, and the tool itself is manufactured in the Czech Republic. As with most German tools that I have seen, it has a satin finish rather than high polish chrome. The shaft is hollow, which allows you to use this tool to remove a nut from a stud that sticks through. I haven't used that feature yet, but it's nice nonetheless. The handle is an odd-looking shape, but it feels quite natural in your hand. It is easy to put a lot of torque on the handle by gripping in the middle, and once the fastener is loose, it is easy to quickly spin it off with the thinner end. I picked up this 5/16" nutdriver along with a matching Wera 1/4" nutdriver, and these have been among the most useful tools that I have bought recently. The 5/16" size is very useful because among other things, most hose clamps use this size head, and when the clamp is hard to get to, a nutdriver works much more smoothly than a screwdriver.
