Our 212cc 4-stroke OHV engine produces up to 4000 surge watts and 3500 rated watts of power. Designed to mirror a pure sine wave, this generator limits total harmonic distortion to under 0.3 percent at no load and under 1.2 percent at full load, making it safe to run sensitive electronics. The WEN Watchdog CO Shutdown Sensor helps protect both you and your family by automatically turning off the generator if dangerous levels of carbon monoxide are detected. Our ultra-efficient 1.85-gallon tank provides over 7 hours of half-load run time. The fully-packed panel comes equipped with two three-prong 120V NEMA 5-20R receptacles, two 5V USB ports, and one 120V RV-ready TT-30R receptacle. Maximize fuel economy by engaging the eco-mode switch. This allows the generator's engine to automatically adjust its fuel consumption as items are plugged into and unplugged from the panel, preventing the unnecessary usage of gasoline. Need more energy? Thankfully I haven’t had to use this for an outage yet, but I have tested it. It starts 1st or 2nd pull every time, and it was very easy to set up. It is a bit heavy, I may build a base with casters if I meet to move it in the future. Also, the reviews of it being loud are true. I fully intend to build an insulated box to reduce the noise. This looks like a quality generator. So far I just ran it for the breakin and changed the oil. It started easily and ran fine. It is not quiet, but I did not expect it to be. 4 stars because I did not put it to a real test during an outage. Also It would be nice if WEN put a valve in the fuel line or on the tank so that gas can be easily drained before long term storage. ... show more

We bought this generator for backup power for the frequent power outages we get. It's enough to power the refrigerator, the chest freezer and some lights. I'm currently using it to power our new shop on our property until we get the electricity run to it. It has performed flawlessly every time I've used it. It has gone months in between usage, but it fires up right away when we need it. I would get another one if had a use for it. ... show more

I've had this generator for a few years now, originally because I lived in Tampa and wanted a backup power source. We sold the house right before Ian and moved into our 5th wheel for a while before moving cross-country (left active duty) and used it for a few days straight to power the RV. While everyone else was sweating and worrying about their food, we were comfortable. It wasn't getting directly rained on, but it was definitely in the elements for that storm. Even when it goes for months without use, I just turn the fuel valve on, set the choke, and it starts within two or three pulls. It's been a GREAT purchase. My dad was looking for a generator during this past storm season after losing a bunch of food to Helene and I helped him out with a larger Wen enclosed unit with auto-start. (It's loud though... Sounds like a pressure washer. I would look for an enclosed inverter generator if you're looking for quiet OR build a vented, insulated generator enclosure to muffle the sound. A lot of the sound is actually caused by the genset, not just the combustion.) ... show more

Great little generator that works well for my needs. I have it hooked up via a transfer panel to power some parts of my house during power outages. 3 fridges and lights in several rooms. None of the big items like AC's, oven, washer/dryer etc. Only the essentials. Handles those easily. The only issue I have is that it doesn't have a 4 pin locking outlet. The 3 pin TT-30 R does not hold the plug securely and the vibrations knock it off. I have it tied with zip ties to keep it in place. ... show more
