Description

Remember when you had clean and quiet portable power? The WEN 4800-Watt Inverter Generator provides clean energy, free of voltage spikes and drops, without all the noise of a regular generator. Produce up to 4800 surge watts and 4000 rated watts of power. Our 224cc engine operates at a modest 62 decibels at quarter load. This limits its invasiveness while camping, hunting, tailgating, and restoring backup power. The WEN 4800W Inverter Generator is also equipped with fuel shutoff. This feature turns off the flow of fuel, allowing for the generator to use up the remaining fuel from the carburetor before automatically shutting down. This helps fight the build-up and blockages caused by stagnant fuel inside of the carburetor, minimizing maintenance while prolonging the unit’s lifespan. Designed to mirror a pure sine wave, this generator limits total harmonic distortion to under 0.3 percent at no load and under 1.2 percent at full load, making it safe to run laptops, cellphones, monitors, tablets and other sensitive electronics. The built-in wheels and telescoping handle make for easy portability while the ultra-efficient 1.9-gallon tank provides up to 7 hours of half-load run time. The fully-packed panel comes equipped with four three-prong 120V NEMA 5-20R receptacles, one 12V DC receptacle, one 120V TT-30R RV receptacle, and two 5V USB ports. Maximize fuel economy by engaging the eco-mode switch. This allows the generator's engine to automatically adjust its fuel consumption as items are plugged into and unplugged from the panel, preventing the unnecessary usage of gasoline. Need more energy? I don’t live a lot of reviews, but this one deserves mention and I bought it on sale on Amazon a while back and it was a lot less money, but don’t hesitate to pull the trigger. It’s a great little generator, very compact, very quiet and starts right up and runs like a champ the electric start is a little tough to get used to it first I thought I had a dead battery but you have to hold the start button down for a couple seconds then let up wait a second and it’ll start by itself same with shutting it off. Can’t say enough great about this little generator. I use it every day for a business and it just keeps on going I’m gonna buy more. One problem I did have of my own is mounting this in the bed of a truck will not work unless you raise the generator up to get it into fresh air. The Co sensor wants to turn it off because the exhaust gas won’t clear out of the bed, but it’s an easy fix either put the generator on the tailgate or I built a stand for mine to set it up above the edge of the bed.     • Runs both our RV's air conditioners perfectly!

We RV full-time and need a generator with enough power to run both of our air conditioners simultaneously plus a few other things, about 3600 watts. This generator does that perfectly! I ran it with under a 50% load for the 8 hour break-in period, changed the oil (which was gray and thick by then), and have tested it to ensure that it provides our needed load. It does so and with significantly less noise than I expected, even for an inverter generator. Starting it is very easy and only takes 1-2 pulls. Also, it has run 12 hours, most of that with about an 1,800 watt load, on only 3.5 gallons of gasoline. To ensure continued successful operation, I will only use ethanol-free gasoline in it to which I will be adding 1 ounce of Seafoam per gallon of gasoline, and I will always run the carburetor empty of gasoline to shut it off. ... show more

I was unfamiliar with the Wen brand so was sceptical but the price was very good so I decided to purchase. I've been extremely satisfied with the purchase. I've got a couple hundred hours on the generator with zero issues. It's very quiet, especially for it's size. The plastic body is good quality. I had to put a high altitude kit on it which was easy to get from Wen directly and it was shipped promptly. The weight is manageable with the long telescoping handle and wheels. It's starts with a few pulls every time. The two things that kept me from a 5 star rating are the fuel level indicator which reads wrong sometimes. Also, the switch could be improved. The setting between choke and run is very "soft" and does not have a positive "click" when going from choke to run. Overall, I would purchase again and recommend. ... show more

    • Brand new and inoperable.

Arrived, brand new, and was inoperable. My generator showed up today. I followed the manual for setup, using the oil provided and brand new premium gas. The generator will start on "choke", but dies as soon as I try to switch the dial to "run". I tried letting it run awhile and it still died as soon as I move the dial. I've got a request in to their customer service. I'll update this review with any resolution. WEN customer service offered 2 options. They could send me a shipping label and I could send it back for them to send a new unit; or they had a couple of local small engine repair shops that handle their warranty work. As I had a camping trip coming in 5 days, I elected to take it to a shop. The shop had to pull and clean the carbs, and WEN refused to cover the charge, as it was a "gas related item." Again, this was a brand new unit, and I put brand new, premium, gas in it. I paid the $147 to get my generator back and emailed the customer service rep that I had spoken with over the phone. I was asked to send my order details, again, and the rep put in a claim to reimburse me for the repairs. I am told that the payment will be sent on 7/25/25. Ultimately, the matter will be resolved, but beware dealing with WEN customer service/warranty work and save all your documentation if you go with this company! ... show more
