    • So Many Great Colors
This set is a great value for the money. However, more than the monetary value, the choice of colors is very wide. It's easy to make beautiful pictures or color in a book when you have the ability to create depth as there are severl shades of the same colors. I've made posters and pictures for my group's events. I'm going to order sets for my grandchildren to encourage them to use their imagination. For adults, I think sometimes coloring and drawing can be a good stress reducer. UPDATE - After previously reducing my star rating from 4 to 3 because of color confusion, I am restoring the 4th star because of very good communication from the company. They recently emailed to thank me for my feedback on the color situation and they asked me for a copy of my color chart. I am still not willing to go to 5 stars, because it is still impossible to tell the ink color from the label on the caps. But the caps ARE numbered, so that helps if you have a chart. I am revising my opinion after giving this product a 4-star review, mostly praising the zippered case and "all in all ... a good variety" of colors. I SEE NOW that all the colors as represented on the order page are shown at full saturation and appear quite vibrant. However, because many colors are not even vaguely represented by the color on the pen's end cap, it is very difficult to choose a color to use for a particular purpose judging simply by the cap color. For instance, an almost white color cap turns out to have bright orange inside the pen. Another, but probably minor, complaint is that the numbers assigned to the pens have no logical correlation to their colors and, in fact, a small number of the colors are identified by letter-number combinations for some reason. So I made my own chart so that I might navigate through the color selections with some degree of confidence. In the attached chart, I attempted to order the pens by color groupings but, as you may see, though the cap colors might seem to be coordinated, as I said previously, the color inside may bear little resemblance. I intend to do another chart with the colors arranged a little more logically and photograph it with the relevant cap color displayed beside the sample. You must make your own as well, if you ever hope to pick up the right blue for a sky, for instance, or to fill in any space with a color you expect to see on paper. Do yourself a big favor and DO NOT apply a color from this set to your work without testing it first on scrap paper or you may be very upset with the result. If you are patient enough to print out my chart and do a comparison check with the color samples on this page, you can see how differently the colors are represented. Some of the pens have so little pigment in them (unless they are old and dried out) that you barely see any effect when you try to use it - there might be a use for such subtle coloring, but I'm just saying you will have to use multiple applications to see anything. Also, there seems to be an inordinate number of choices for yellows, oranges, and greens, while reds, blues, and purples are short changed. This does not seem like good planning, if you have a case made for 80 colors, it would make better sense to fill it with a better selection and more equal distribution of all colors. ... show more

These did not disappoint. Good markers especially for the price, I was pleasantly surprised. The actual colors of the markers are slightly different than the lid color indicating what color it is, but the colors are not disappointing. I would recommend these to buy for you child or if your just having fun coloring and are not a professional ... show more

    • Bag is not sturdy
FYI invest a little more to get a sturdy bag with alloys. I actually though it was a sectional in the bag.. wrong.. markers all over the place. Returning and paying a little more for a better organized bag
