I bought this for my toddlers bed because we only had a basic twin mattress with no pillow top and you could feel all the coils inside it. It took about 10 hours to fully reach its size once out of packaging. Fits perfectly on a twin and oh my goodness it is so comfortable. Yes, it looks pathetic when you first open it but mine fluffed up completely within a fairly short period of time (and there were sections that were really, really flat). And it did make my hard-as-a-rock mattress much more comfortable. I had been leaning towards 1.5 inches but got this 2 inch at a really good price. 2 inches maybe feels like a little too much foam but it fit inside my mattress enclosure (so it stays put) and is not annoyingly foamy. I do wish it was wider and longer as it is much smaller than my mattress. The side shortage makes it uncomfortable to sit on the edge of the bed. Had there been an extra two inches of width and length, I would have given it five stars.

Explanation for the topper says 24-48 hours to fully fill out. Well, no. After 72 hours, the topper was still wrinkled, disproportionately filled out. I actually went to a store & bought a different mattress topper. I almost threw this topper away in disappointment, but before doing that, I gave it one more chance. After a total of 4-5 days the topper did fill out nicely & is a good topper for the price.

My teen daughter liked her mattress firmness, but had trouble getting comfortable, so I got her this. Opened it up, popped it on her bed... it was great. Then, we moved, with me having to do most of the move by myself. Her bed made it to the new place before mine, and then she was gone to her father's for 2 days. I flopped down on her bed, at night, because it was there. I was exhausted, and it felt good to be flat. Then, I rolled up on my side (like I normally sleep)and.... I didn't know my hip felt pressure when I lay on my side, until I did it on this topper & the pain vanished. It was heavenly. Once we get settled, I'll be buying one for my own bed.
