After reading many reviews I definitely laughed when I opened the bolts. They're all gold! So they match! And honestly I didn't even care if they matched or not because I knew my scarves would cover it anyways lol Plus since Im an artist, if it bothered me that much I'd just brush some pretty stuff on it. It was very easy to assemble. I can tell the manufacturer definitely listens to what customers have to say regarding the product. The bolts were gold. Everything was very well labeled. No bent pieces. No missing pieces. The only two extra pieces that were extras just in case was an "I" washer, a "H" nut, and a "B" bolt. I am grateful for that as I have twin toddlers and they tend to have moments and get all curious as to what I'm doing. I didn't lose any so that's good lol I easily put everything together with the allen wrenches. They locked in very well so I didn't have a slip issue with them which I loved. I did this by myself. Help was very unnecessary. Box was small and tall but heavy so I did 3 or 4 trips upstairs to carry all of the pieces. Didn't have an issue with paint scraping off. It seems very sturdy as well. I'm also a petite 115 so I truly hope it stays sturdy! I definitely had to warn my children no jumping on my bed. Some number stickers were on the ends. Not sure if some didn't see that before and wrote reviews saying stuff wasn't numbered. Maybe they weren't. Who knows lol But thank you thank you for this divine bed! I always wanted a canopy bed, and since I've been separated and moved his stuff out I finally got what I wanted. No used furniture from his previous marriage. A new bed. My first new bed. Got this because I want to feel like a princess and have plants hanging from the rails all at the same time and it is perfect. I read another review where someone used blue loctite and felt furniture pads between the metal pieces to keep them from rubbing and it has greatly reduced any metal sounds the frame might produce and I believe it will extend the life of this frame. I got both at Wal-Mart, I cut Xs into the small circular felt pads with a box cutter and threaded the screws through them with the sticky side to the frame to keep them from moving around and it actually made assembling the frame easier because it held the screws in place. The bed does not creak at all and is extremely sturdy. I'll get curtains eventually but for now it is beautiful and I'm loving it. ... show more

So far so good! We bought the twin size for my daughter, who is turning 4 and transitioned out of a toddler bed. We got an inexpensive canopy for it from Amazon and she absolutely loves it!! It seems pretty sturdy and I like that we can change out the canopy covers as she grows. You can even choose to remove the entire canopy top altogether and just use it as a regular bed. It was fairly easy and straightforward to put together. One person can assemble alone, although having someone to help will make it easier. One important thing to note that I’m not sure was mentioned in the description: if you plan to use a foam (not innerspring) mattress on this, you will need to use it with a bunkie board or cut a piece of plywood to fit. The metal bars under the mattress aren’t flat slats but rounded bars, so a foam mattress will start to sink down into them without something sturdy & flat underneath. The instructions that come with the bed mention this, but I’m not sure the Amazon description does. We did buy a foam mattress for it so I just ordered a cheap bunkie board - no biggie but good to know. ... show more

For this being my first canopy bedframe, can't really complain. I love it! However, with me not really being the builder type naturally, this thing took my about 5 hours on my own to put together. With no worded step by step instructions, I did the best I could as I took my time and patiently attempted to follow the picture diagrams exactly. Made a few accidental scrapes here and there. Mixed up the bolts once, and overall just had a hard time. To say the least this thing was hell to put together for me all on my own and I recommend, if you can, to have a partner for quick assembly. If you're anything like me. Other than that, I am proud of the results and glad I made it through the tough journey of assembling this thing alone. I now have the bedframe I have ALWAYS wanted since I was a little girl! ... show more
