It works as well as I expected. I've been gardening a long time, and I realize that the roots and soil have as much to do with successful weeding as the tool. That said, this weeder usually gets the roots and usually gets the plant. Some weeds slip through, but the tool loosens the soil enough to make them easy to pull by hand. I like the long handle for some hard-to-reach spots.

Wonderfull tool for standing upright or kneeling (adjustable lengths) for pulling and disloding weeds, and breaking up dirt, sod, compost, etc. Can be used for bulb planting as well. I use it for loosening compacted dirt in flowerbed and yard. Compost, mulch almost any type of medium you could have. The handle is extremely strong and you can apply an enourmous amount of pressure without bending the handle. The only issue I had was the screw together grooves didn't exactly match up. However, they were close enough that I forced them together which took a great amount of strength. It might actually be stronger now than if properly matched up. I don't intend to use it other than when standing up. --- this is the only reason I'm giving it a 4 start rating.

Great for pulling weeds and small tree limbs off trees. My crape Myrtle trees have a lot of sucker sprouts that I can’t reach. This tool enables me to pull them off without having to ladder. Also good for pulling old sod, stubborn roots (trying to remove old jasmine).

I have a short hand tool like this that works fine but I wanted one to work on a larger area while seated. I used it to clear about a 4 squae foot area of weeds. It pulled some but was more likely to just strip the leaves from tall weeds. There were a few dandelions in the area that It connected to but when pulled it only pulled up a part of the tap root. The tines clogged easily requiring freqent clearing. I used in on half the area and pulled weeds over the second half. Hand pulling won.

I hate pulling weeds. This wonderful product is a lifesaver. I cleared out a quarter of the weeds this morning from a very weeded patch in half an hour. I got all the roots and everything. It actually works and it’s well worth the money. I have a problem with bittersweet, it likes to strangle everything and climb up the house. If you’ve ever encountered bittersweet, you know that the roots just keep going. This product is absolutely terrific. It even cuts the roots. If you love your garden, and you do not wish to spread any chemicals on the garden, not only do I have pets, but I have wonderful Creatures living in my yard. The birds are going to love the turned over soil. This tool accomplishes so much. I am so impressed.

The too works great, length is good. Sometimes you have to tighten it , but other then that works well. Beats bending over, and it saves time!
