  • A Must HAVE
This is an excellent resource for any photographer even remotely thinking about doing any serious or even semi-pro work. It goes beyond simply showing you contracts but goes into why it says what it says. Of course a local attorney should be consulted for local laws but this is an excellent resource. You are given a link to download copies of forms from and they can be edited as necessary (Business name, etc.) I am glad I got THIS book. Get it. ... show more

  • GREAT book to learn how to cover your A**
I love this book. It was informative and provided me with a packet of legal forms to get a photography business started. As stated in the book, it would be beneficial to have the forms reviewed by a lawyer in your state to make sure all laws abide by your state regulations. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to start a photography business of their own. ... show more

  • Great book and a great asset to my business!
This book is the best on this subject! I've found it extremely valuable. It's very well written and very easy for non-legal professionals to understand. The sample forms are fully explained and are very easy to alter to my business' specific needs. I'm also better able to explain my contracts to my clients! I think this is a must have for any professional photographer who doesn't have the option of having legal representation on retainer. ... show more

  • Photographers must have
I found the material in this handbook to be a must for photographers willing to do legal leg work them selves. This is by no means of saying a lawyer may not be needed with some legal issues, but as for the legal documents you will may need from time to time.

  • Very helpful, concrete information
I got a lot out of this book, including what I consider a decent contract for my clients. Thanks for all the examples and the reasoning behind your decisions, authors! It was worth the money.

  • Excellent resource for photographers, new and old!
With access to download all of the forms in the book, and wonderful legal advice from an attorney-turned-photographer, this book is a must-have for all photographers! It covers everything from simple model releases to employee forms, to commercial contracts. There is something for everyone!
