It works great. The only one thing that I struggled was finding this transducer in my fishfinder setting. There are many lists of all transducers. I had to choose one, (Total transducer low/high). Otherwise, my HDS 7 dose not recognize this transducer. (Unknown...No depth...)

    • A must have for the new machines
Works well but hard to adjust due to size. I have this on a 25' hydra-sports with cruise speeds of 30 knots and max speeds of 60 knots. I have this working with a Simrad NSS7 EVO. Amazing scans, keeps up at high speeds when adjusted properly. The scans come in very clear, better than I would have imagined. I would recommend it to anyone looking for bottom structures or favorite fishing spots. ... show more

    • In case of rigging boats one transducer is better than two
There are two versions of this transducer the pictured version and the new plastic version. I was hoping to get the new version but received this version instead. For whatever reason lowrance ships this unit with the 3D transducer mounting bracket thus requiring you to install it backwards have to route the cable from the back forward. They do provide zip ties to assist in routing the cable but seems to me it would be better to ship with the lss2 mounting bracket. I just recently received this so I'm still fine tuning the adjustment so I don't lose bottom on plane. It's nice having to route only one cable to the console and glad I went this route. I left the lss2 and skimmer transducer on my pontoon so I can simply put the HDS on either boat. If you rig your own boats and know what a pain it can be to pull the cables get this transducer and only do it once. ... show more

    • Lorance Transducer Ripoff!
I contacted Lorance first thing. I asked them what transducer do I need for my Lorance HDS12 Gen3. They said the total scan and the number. Then I bought it on amazon and it was the wrong one. So I sent it back. They Charged me 95 bucks return fees. Thats not right! I should not have to pay 95 dollars for their mistake. What a ripoff. ... show more

    • Picture not exactly what you get receive
Ordered this item to get the transducer but also the metal mounting bracket. It arrives on time as expected but has the plastic mounting bracket. I had to order the metal bracket separately after receiving the item. An accurate picture would have been helpful but not a deal breaker.

    • it works great. I upgraded from an out of date unit ...
I put this on my hds9, it works great. I upgraded from an out of date unit so I love it. I took my old skimmer off and got lucky, the bracket for this unit fit right into the holes already drilled for my old bracket. So luckily it took me like 5 minutes to mount my transducer.
