I've had the camera for about a year and I keep dipping back into this book to understand this, that, and the other feature; I learn something new every time I crack the pages. David Busch's writing is lively and informative, and he writes out of a clear love for the subject and the camera. One thing to keep in mind is, occasionally the screenshot menus do not exactly match what is on the camera; undoubtedly this is because Sony changed them. This is an extremely thorough but easy to read guide. I purchased my Sony A6000 just a few weeks ago, and there are so many buttons and options... I was really confused! I downloaded a few videos from Gary Chong, and even bought an ebook written by Anthony Northrup, but this book was helpful because it was something I could bring - in hand - to my photography class. There are several tips and tricks listed in this book that are not listed in the other books and tutorials I've purchased. The factory manual is nearly worthless, and the camera so complex, that even after owning the camera for a year, I despaired of ever feeling able to master this camera. With all the different menus and sub-menus and Control Wheel vs Control Dial an indepth manual is needed. This is the one. It starts off with an overview and what each button, wheel, dial, etc does. Then it starts going into more depth. Then it goes into WAY deep depth. I am only halfway though and already know more about my A6000 then I would have learned on my own.
