    • Nice indirect heat charcoal holders.
They work well. I use them on my Weber kettle style grill to smoke with. I only have the basic grate though and have to pick up the grate loaded with food to add more coals. Would work much better with the hinge type grate but that’s on me.

I’ve used these a few times so far since I got them. I used them to do wings where I put them together in the center with the charcoal and put the wings around the edge, not directly over the coals. When they got to the right internal temp I put the wings directly over the charcoal to give a light char and they came out perfect. ... show more

    • Adds a whole new dimension on my Jumbo Joe Grill.
This will add a new way to isolate your heat source and cut down on the amount of charcoal that you use. I have made the most "killer" of wings with just a small piece of apple wood and a Baja Citrus marinade from Mcormick seasonings and this method of indirect heat and smoke. I was hoping to use a vortex but this size grill does not accommodate even the "mini vortex" no matter what anyone on line says. This actually works better than the vortex when you use one basket and you can then put a disposable aluminum foil pan under your food to collect the drippings. ... show more
