I have to admit, although I wore Nikes as a young person because they were cool, as I've aged, I found many of their shoes to be disappointing and generally favor other brands. However, based on some reviews both here and elsewhere, I gave the Flex Control TR3 a try after my favorite pair of trainers gave out, and I have thus far been extremely impressed. I use these shoes for two things: in-gym training and road cycling. The shoes are light and breathable, they're far more comfortable than any Nikes I've tried in 10+ years, and they fit me well, which had been an issue with prior Nikes. Although light, they handle really well, and while their lightness leads me to believe that they wouldn't be great for heavy/outdoor work, they're more than up to the task if you're not putting them to extremes. I fit into normal (D) Medium shoes in most styles and brands. Sometimes there is just a shoe that feels a bit too narrow. These were that shoe. Need to send back. Shoe looks great, but just not for me.

I bought both Nike shoes to replace my gym shoes. Since I didn't really know what style I wanted, I ordered two different styles. I have an old pair of Nike court shoes that I have worn in the gym and to play pickleball and they sadly have worn out. I wore them so much that I rubbed a hole in the insole on the inside of the shoe. Since I loved them so much, I was disappointed when I couldn't find them on the Nike website. But that's when I found a shoe that looks awfully similar to them...the Nike Men's Flex Control TR3 Sneaker. Now, since I have received these I only wear them to workout and teach in the gym or if we are playing pickleball. The amount of traction and comfort that I have in these shoes is amazing. Nike is my brand of choice and usually has the best fit for my size. I liked the look of this shoe, and the size was consistent with the brand. Unfortunately, this shoe has a defined arch support, but the arch did not comfortably match my feet, so I had to send it back.
