  • Well designed.
Style: Q2000-Propane
This is my second Weber grill after years of buying cheap difficult to assemble, off-name junk that would rust and literally fall apart every 2 years. My first Weber was a Spirit 210 which I had over 12 years with only minimal replacing of parts. I loved that grill but my neglect finally took it's toll. I knew my next grill would be a Weber, but being the scrooge I am I became apoplectic when I saw what a Genesis or Spirit model was running. I was also going through a minimalist stage - so enter the Q2000. This little well engineered marvel has been perfect for my almost everyday use. I keep it on my deck and have not had occasion to test its portability. The plastic stand I bought for it is a bit flimsy, and you do have to pre-heat for about 10 minutes (its only 12000 BTUs), but other than that I cannot find fault. Cooks wonderfully, with less flare ups than my Spirit. And to be honest for 95% of my needs is perfect. And based on my research, replacement parts are reasonable when that time comes. My mother always told me "don't scrimp on shoes and winter coats'. To that I would add grills and lawn mowers! ... show more

  • Collecting dust in shed: grill worked correctly three times then continuous issues with low flame.
Style: Q2000-Propane
Everything worked right out of the box. What little assemble was required only took a few minutes (two screws and two cotter pins). The Weber grill arrived with proper settings on jets, and it lite first try. Noted that a breeze will extinguish burner, and foil wind blocks caused flame to extinguish (smothered itself). Do not cover the rectangular grease drip opening in the bottom of the grill as this also smothers the flame rapidly (obviously necessary for proper airflow). Cooking heat was easily regulated with Start (High), Half, and 3/4 gas setting clearly marked on adjustment knob. High heat yielded good sear, and grill marks. Very pleased with purchase. UPDATE: I can NOT recommended this grill to others as it has been a source of frustration... grill worked properly three time then I have had constant issues with "low flame." Replaced hose, replaced regulator, reset regulator, leak checked, replaced LP tank, etc. and still can't cook on this grill due to low flame. This grill is collecting dust on a shelf in the storage shed. Spare yourself a LOT of frustration, don't buy this grill, or if you do, hang on to the box so you can ship it back to Weber. ... show more

  • Foods cook evenly and temperatures are easy to maintain
Style: Q2000-Propane
We have a Weber grill for our house and had looked at the Q grills for our camper but purchased a cheaper grill to save money. Should have bought the Weber Q2000 to begin with and actually save money! The cheap grill had hot spots and would not maintain a set tempature. Too much work to cook with. The Q2000 works just as advertised. Foods cook evenly and temperatures are easy to maintain. Weber design is for food to cook with the top closed to move the heat throughout the grill and it works great. Follow the general guidelines for cooking times on the Weber website or with the card that comes with the grill and you will have great food. The Q2000 is a nicely built unit that should last years. Very heavy for it's size but small enough to take in our camper or tailgating. It uses the small 1 lb propane cylinders but I bought the extra hose and connect it to the propane tank in the camper for added convenience. We did not purchase the Weber stand but use it with the GCI Outdoor Slim Fold Cook Station and it is an awesome combo. ... show more

  • Get one with a thermometer
Style: Q2000-Propane
Absolutely great little grill for camping or as an alternative to firing up a large gas grill or waiting for charcoal to get ready. I highly recommend the griddle accessory. I expect the cooking area is large enough for about 10 man-sized burgers. Estimations of fuel consumption on the one pound bottles in other reviews seem pretty accurate-two or three meals per bottle, depending on the time and temp variables. I find, after coming up to temp on high, low does well in most cases. I was not paying attention and didn’t realize the 2000 doesn’t have a thermometer and I would counsel that the extra $20 is well worth it. ... show more

  • PERFECT SIZE FOR A SMALLISH PATIO & FAMILY
Style: Q2000-Propane
We owned an earlier, seven year old verision of this same grill and have absolutely loved the size, grill space (in square cooking inches) and convenience. It is perfect for a either a couple, individual or smallish family. The only thing different is that (like everything else in the world) the price has substantially increased. It is now about $250 for the grill itself. We already have the stand & grill-cover, which did not require replacement. However, you can buy the same size/model grill "without" an internal thermometer (which we did) and save another $25 dollars. ... show more

  • Great little grill
Style: Q2000-Propane
This grill was a replacement for the same type that we purchased years ago at a garage sale. We actually have it on a stand so the height is the same as a fully assembled grill. We like the size but don't be fooled as you can fit a lot of food on this grill. We bought the fully assembled option for convenience. Weber makes a great grill at an affordable price. ... show more

  • Hands down the best grill ever.
Style: Q2000-Propane
I will never own another grill. This Weber Portable Grill can stay at home or go out, the best of both worlds. I bought one ten years ago and it is still like new. I just put in a new burner for the first time this month. I love it so much that I bought another one. Its heats evenly, cooks quickly due to the dutch oven top, and is the easiest grill I have ever cleaned. Thank you Weber for offering such a useful and durable product. You dont see that anymore. ... show more

  • Great customer service
Style: Q2000-Propane
Purchased grill June 2017. Everything worked as expected. In July 2018 noticed both front and rear legs were broken in the same spot. Read where Weber has a 5-year warranty on plastic. Called customer service and they were INCREDIBLE. They registered the grill for me (of course I didn's do it when bought) and replaced both parts, no questions asked. This is above and beyond any interaction I have had with other companies. I was treated like a person! Parts came FEDEX 3 days later and all is well. ... show more
