It has been about 2.5 months since I bought this watch and I have worn it every single day since then. My Samsung Galaxy Watch has sat on its charger since I got this watch and I don't ever see using it again. Sleep tracking is fantastic. Heart rate tracking happens with much more frequency than my Samsung Galaxy Watch did, enabling better tracking. Battery life is out of this world. It is at least a month before needing to be charged, longer if you are sitting in a pool or somewhere else where the watch face can get some good sun. Highly recommend this watch. Overall very pleased after having for a month. Had this watch for about a month now. Had been wearing an iwatch daily for about three years but decided to shift over to this Garmin instinct solar. I have not been disappointed at all. The watch basically has all the same features of the iwatch but in a different orientation. Love the solar functioning; you kind of need the solar power feature for it to be worth it. The battery life is averaging four days when fully charged and thats with all the dormant features running constantly. Features such as heart rate and sleep monitoring. Only gripe so far is using the watch as a walking monitor. Its just not super simple to set up quickly and get going, harder to turn it off than it should be. ... show more

Invested in the garmin instinct and absolutely loved it. The instinct solar is obviously pricier but with the solar panel and extra battery life I'd say its worth it. If you dont train as often you would be completely fine without the solar but if you train everyday sometimes 2 to three times a day I'd highly recommend the solar. The instinct last about 4 days with heavy training (7 miles of running/2 hours of weight training) so if you dont care for battery life or dont train as often then like I said the regular instinct is the way to go. I particularly dont like charging every 4 days but for a semi smart/gps watch it's still not bad at all. I imagine you can get 10 or so days with mild training or training every other day. The only thing I get annoyed with as far as tracking is the tredmil runs. It's hardly ever on the same distance as the tredmil. It's either way ahead or short. I get that it's not always going to be right on the exact distance as the tredmil but we are talking about multiple laps in some cases. I believe it could be because the watch isnt calculating incline. If there is a software update to fix this I'd give it 5 stars all the way around. Calorie tracking is probably something else that could be a little better because on leg day I know that I burn way more calories then the watch states but there isnt a way to track exactly what your working out. I know that's asking and expecting alot but it's just something I've noticed. Other then that tracking is very good. Overall I'm happy with the investment and the quality of the watch. ... show more

I love the functionality and reporting features of the watch. Was only able to play with it for a week, then needed charging. After two days of trying both the charging cable and the solar charging option, the watch had not charged. I would consider a replacement, but want to make sure this is not a bug first. The slim size of the watch fit my wrist very well. The silicone wristband was very comfortable. The kayak and swimming features worked well for my needs. Sent it back but as of yet haven’t received a refund. Been weeks now!!!! ... show more
