    • 5 Year Warranty? Who do I contact?

So, I own 2 of these units and use them for lighting the basement, etc. I have extended the length of the solar panel with no issue (still measures 4.8V at the device). However, about 9 months after purchasing the 2nd unit, it apparently DIED. While troubleshooting it, I discovered that the actual circuit board (which handles charge/discharge functions) was the issue, meaning the unit, by itself, was now useless. However, since I own 2 of them, I took it apart and wired BOTH battery packs together in parallel. The are 1S4P packs to begin with, so I turned it into a 1S8P pack (for 168Wh total), and did the same with the solar panels, creating a 5V, 36W max array. My big question though, is WHO or WHERE do I contact for this so called 5 year warranty? These are re-branded Blue Carbon brand devices, which are actually pretty good quality, but customer service appears to be non-existent. ... show more

I got this for hurricane season, we're normally without power for at least a week, and my hope was to not having to worry about extension cords, using the genny's gas for light, or walking around with flash lights from one dark room to another. When we received it we charged it via the solar panel and packed it away. A few days after we had a storm at night (you can see how dark it was through our windows) that knocked out our power for about 5 hours. I got this out and put 1 of the lights in the power bank, and strung it up to the light above our table, I did use another light (not plugged into the power bank) just to hold the light so it was lighting up the ceiling ( light reflects off the ceiling and lights up a room better then it would just hanging in a downward direction). I didnt notice what brightness this 1 light was on, but it is BRIGHT! this 1 little light is nearly as bright as our normal light which has 5 chandelier bulbs! Our power was out for a about 5 hours and we had no problems at all. I recharged it when the power came back on and packed it away again...I will update when a hurricane outage puts it through a longer more thorough test, but right now we are very impressed and extremely happy with our purchase! ... show more

This little generator is an awesome product. So far I have only charged it up once, and have used it several times with no depletion of its energy. It will be a great resource for any power outages we experience this winter, and it has been extremely helpful with providing an off-grid light source for my storage container when I need to look for something in the dark. I had a little trouble understanding how it charged when I first opened it up because the instructions weren't very helpful, but after I realized that it was charging even though there was no indicator light flashing then I got it fully charged. This is a great product in addition to the other solar lights I have up around my property, and unlike the emergency lights that only come on for a short period of time before going off it provides light for hours. It has three LED lights that are really nice and can be positioned in several places to provide a large light source. Overall anyone who purchases this item can have confidence in the fact that it will be a great resource for all your light charging needs. ... show more

I actually like this product. Although I had to figure out how to charge it, after that I use it every night. I have 2 and now I prefer to have 2 more for other rooms. They will literally light up an entire room when fully charged. I'm thinking that I would like for the battery to last longer, but it might just be me, because I tend to leave it on all night some times!! Lol! I would say it is WELL WORTH the money!! I put the solar panels in my window on the sunny side of my house. So I WILL purchase 2 more just to save on electricity. Yeah...this is a good purchase. ... show more

This is a very small unit weighs almost nothing and is not good for a whole lot, but it is an inexpensive unit for extremely short-term lighting. I'm a looking into hooking this up and building an automatic chicken door with this, but even if I can't I am happy with my purchase. I have much better power options but couldn't resist this for a chicken yard front porch whatever. I have not used it and don't plan on using it for some time. ... show more
