I got a $20 dollar signal antenna network adapter and it lasted about 10 months before it started to show degradation in signal receipt and stability and strength. In testing this adapter, it is much better right out of the box than the adapter I was using. Before I was getting a fluctuating range from about 1 bar to 3 bars. In testing, with this adapter I see a consistent 4 full bars for WiFi connectivity and it sometimes drops to 3 bars for a few seconds before returning to full strength. The signal reception is stable and strong all the time. You are able to get about 600Mbps at 2.4Ghz and 1300Mbps at 5Ghz. The 4X high gain antennas really help to increase and stabilize weak signals. Giving you a better signal and larger coverage area. The USB 3.0 ensures the best throughput but it is also compatible with USB 2.0. The only piece of this that I feel is deficient is the cable length. It would be much more versatile if it were longer like at least 6’. I believe it is 3’. I appreciate you taking the time to read this. All in all, this adapter has been placed on an older tower PC. It works without any issues and was easy to setup. It breathed some added life to my aging PC. This plugged and played into my Windows 10 PC. This worked great for a few days. recently got it installed way later after my purchase date so cant even quickly return it. I will look into warranty options but may just call this garbage as the price/value seems more like a hassle, especially if I have to pay for any warranty shipping.
