I received this aqua football so I could give it my honest review. My initial thoughts are -- The box is not shaped like a football -- The texture feels perfect for a swimming pool When I opened the package with the football in it, to find a small rectangular box, I thought this didn’t look big enough for a football as I expected something like a foam ball. But when I opened its box I found it was deflated and came with a hand pump to air it up. I thought the pump was pretty handy as it has holes in the top of it to store the air needle. Once I screwed that into the pump and started pumping it up it grew quickly. I fully aired it up in about 30 pumps to make a decent size football for water fun. It also has a texture that is almost a little sticky which will make it easier to catch for smaller hands and any wet hands. It’s also colorful, perfect for a pool toy. I played catch with my 12 year old grandson and he found it easy to throw and catch (even with one hand a few times). He thought this could be something used outside the pool too. Once we were finished I stuck the needle back into the ball to deflate it and the air came out just as quickly to enable me to pack it back in its box (after all it’s early January and I don’t expect to use it in a pool for several months, even in Texas). The needle stores in holes on the top of the hand pump and easily fits in the box with the deflated ball. I will give this a 5/5, primarily because of the texture, which is perfect for a pool football, and quick filling of the pump (even with just a hand pump).

I honestly was not entirely sure what to expect with this thing when I ordered it. We’ve all experienced those pool balls that only become throwable when they are completely waterlogged, yet this ball clearly advertised itself as not being water absorbing. Upon receiving it and playing with it for a little bit though I can confirm it is just exactly like described. Imagine a normal football, but wrapped in a slightly softer fabric material that gives it a thin layer of give. And then coat that entire thing with a webbing of super ultra sticky rubber and you have this thing. Fun to throw, and still has a lot of grip when wet…this thing will be a mainstay for us at any pool we frequent! The only caveat mention I would make is that the pump this ball comes with is junk - it kept leaking out air as fast as I could pump it up…but as I didn’t buy it for the pump and as I have to assume anyone buying this would already have an actual ball pump I don’t think it’s enough to dock a star over such an otherwise awesome product. Bottom line - if you find yourself spending a lot of time in a location with some water, and you also enjoy throwing a football then you should probably just hit buy now!

Like most kids, in summer my kids love to go to the beach and the pool. My youngest is obsessed with football and always wants to bring a football. Real footballs, even those with fake leather still absorb a lot of water, they get heavy, slippery and it is a PAIN to throw those. After a few hours they are so water logged the fun is gone. This football is VERY different. It's not like your normal football, it's got a very rubbery/grippy texture on the outside. I dunked it in water, the water rolls right off, there's no absorbing water and getting water logged. Even wet, the rubbery is very grippy and this is not slipping out of your hand. Don't get this expecting it's a normal football, but grippy and waterproof. It's lighter, it's not as big, and it's a little different to thrown, but it's all close enough that you can still fling this around the pool or beach and have a blast and not spend a small fortune on some of those other "water proof" footballs out there, you can get 5 of these ones for the same price as one of those others and you'll have just as much fun.

Cool football to add to your beach or pool bag! Its made with material thats allowed to get wet, it almost enhances the grip and usability of the ball when wet! Its light weight which is why I removed a star, its a little too light for me to throw. But I love the stickly grip pads on the ball, makes it super easy to catch and grip. The color is fun and bright, good blue and Orange! Fun ball and worth teh money for casual play!

I ordered the Refresh Sports Water Football for pool and beach use from Amazon, and it arrived incredibly fast. Amazon logistics has shipping down to a science, possibly involving time travel. This winter has been unseasonably warm, which has me mentally skipping spring and preparing for summer already. When I saw this football on Amazon, I ordered it immediately, knowing it would be perfect for poolside chaos. Opening the package revealed a soft, inflatable football with a surprisingly satisfying tactile feel. It works in the pool, at the beach, and plot twist, even at the park. Great Scott! A water football that functions outside of water. Who knew? Lol. The best part of this product is the grip. No more watching the ball slip out of your hands and rocket directly into your kid’s face. Now it can be thrown with accuracy and confidence… possibly still hitting your wife in the head, but at least it’s intentional now. Lol. Durability-wise, I see no issues. It feels solid enough to last at least one full summer, maybe two, or even three, assuming it doesn’t get lost on the roof or launched into a neighbor’s yard. Would I recommend it? If you want a grippy, soft football for pool or water play that brings fun, laughter, and mild family danger, then yes absolutely.
