This is an off-brand inexpensive watch from China. Which is OK! I have a few "value" imports and they are generally fine though they do not totally compare to name brand watches. This watch has a large 42mm case, which may be why the price is slightly elevated for this type of watch. The band is tiny, barely fits my 8.5" wrist. If your wrist is large you will need a new band. The band width is 22mm. The watch face is all utility- large white numbers with white hands and "subdued" branding at the top. The hands have a luminescent coating (very weak) but the barely visible second hand does not, and the numbers do not. There is no date, no AM/PM which I really like- put this thing on, pull out the pusher and set the time and you are done. No changing settings that most people don't need or are too small for you to realistically use. Speaking of small- the large numbers and high contrast make this readable even without my glasses, which is why I got this in the first place. The case is metal, face appears to be acrylic/plastic. The pull out crown adjuster is not very precise. If you try to set the minute hand to "4" you might get a few minutes before or after when you push it in to accept the time as the hands move quite a bit when pushing the pusher. Kind of frustrating but you can get it set after a try or three. The band is thin faux leather. And short. You will need another 22mm band if you have a large wrist. The band does not have a quick release set of pins so you will need a tool to remove the exiting band which was not a problem. I tried the watch out with black silicone and brown leather bands- see pics. Looks a lot better. A tiny band on a big watch is not so good but totally expected at this price point. So far the watch is keeping good time; I'll check back in with an update if this is not the case as time goes on. Overall I am happy with the watch. With a new band it seems fine. Probably a black leather band will be better than a brown one (more suitable for a gold metallic watch) but that's all I had at hand in 22mm. I think this is very slightly overpriced, should cost about as much as a good six back of beer and its slightly over that amount. But it is a larger dial (42mm) so no stars off for pricing. Its cheap and looks good on my wrist, tells time. No frills but that was what I was looking for. ... show more

I ordered this watch fro myself (woman) because I wanted big and bold. Well, I got big and bold! (I'm a female). The watch face is very large - almost 2 inches from metal end end to metal end, where the straps insert. My wrist is about medium, at 7 inches around. The face of the watch pokes out, over and above where the flesh of my arm is. meaning, the watch is larger than my wrist. This is not the fault of the watch, it's my mismatch between sizing expectations and reality. The watch is easy to use, it's traditional, works on a battery and you just pull out the pin to set the time, push the pin back in, and that's it. It says it's water resistant to a certain depth; I wouldn't know because I haven't tried it, but there you have it. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is the band. It's faux leather, which is what the listing says. However, it is super stiff and quite thick. It feels and looks like real leather, so much so that I went and got my magnifying glass to inspect it closely. The caveat here is that the 'leather' it emulates is like a stiff shoe leather, making it a tad difficult to wrap around the wrist. Then again, my wrists are small-er than a man's, so it would take a bit more wrapping. Nonetheless, no matter how you look at it the band is thick due to padding. It's a very attractive watch and I would order it again if the same model was about 1/2" smaller and designed for a woman's wrist. ... show more
