For $10, this watch is well worth it. The face is large, and easy to read the time. It looks like the proper size on my wrist. The crown moves easily, which made it easy to move several hours to near the right time, though, a bit difficult to hit the exact minute, I got it though, and it's kept proper time since. I had trouble getting the crown in to the middle position, to change the date, that didn't worry me too much, as I have my phone to look at the date, and the window is small enough that my 45 year old eyes have trouble reading it anyway. The band is cheap, no way around that, after a week of wearing, it already had the crease in it where I buckled to, like better bands usually don't get for a while. It's also short, while I'm a bigger guy, my wrists are not, and I'm on the 3rd hole from the end. So, if you have thicker wrists, you may have to buy another band. Otherwise, it's comfortable, and for $10, if I have to either buy a new whole watch, or a nicer band in a few months, it's not that big of a deal. ... show more

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a watch under ten dollars. The watch itself is decent enough, but you can see from the photo that the date dial doesn’t quite line up with the viewing window, and it’s very tiny. The leather strap feels very cheap. I wouldn’t call myself a large person—probably average size—but the strap barely fits my wrist. It seems like it’s made for someone smaller, and I feel like it could tear out easily since it’s that flimsy. That said, for the price I won’t feel bad if it breaks. ... show more

I was attracted to this watch due to the vintage style but concerned about the low price. The watch has few high tech bells and whistles. It only tells you the time (three hands) and a small window showing the date (day only). I was glad I did not have to spend twenty minutes setting it up remembering which button does what, etc. Instructions are included - be prepared with a magnifying glass. The box is nicely designed so it could be a gift. All I had to do is pull out the battery tag and it starts up. The stem has two ‘gears.’ Pulling it out half way sets the date. Pulling it out all the way sets the time. The band looks like high quality leather - all together it looks like higher priced watch. I’ve been wearing it few days comparing it to my more expensive watch. It performed very well in accuracy. I’d be happy wearing it anywhere. ... show more

It's often hard to tell from product photos just how large or small a watch is going to be. This is much larger than I expected. I bought it as a gift for an 8-year-old, so it remains to be seen how much of an issue that will be. It's also hard to tell the actual color of watch faces. This one is described as white, but it looks more silver than white. The numbers are large and easy to read. The hour and minute hands are of sufficiently different lengths that you should have no trouble telling them apart. The minute hand actually extends into the numbers, which I like. Although the minute/second ticks don't extend very far down, which I don't like. The red second hand is easy to locate, which makes this a good watch for timing things. The strap seems to be real leather, not a synthetic substitute. It starts out pretty stiff, but I'm hoping that it will soften up over time. There are enough holes to fit a wide range of wrists -- including mine, and my young friend's. It does tick audibly, although not very noticeably. Setting the date and time are straightforward, although getting the stem to the right channel can be a challenge. The difference between the first and second channels is very slight. A word about water: The brief product description calls the watch 'waterproof', but the fine print says that you should not use it while swimming or taking a shower, and be careful not to immerse the watch in water. I think that's kind of the opposite of waterproof, isn't it? ... show more

Delighted to have come across this analog watch! I ordered it for one of my sons, solely for the purpose of teaching him about time! The watch face and numbers are a good size. Since receiving it, it's kept up with the time. The date is easy to adjust, and the instructions that come with it are easy to follow. It fits his wrist well, and doesn't cause discomfort - he wears it almost all day long. It's made well, and we both love the classic look of this time piece. I recommend for younger kids who need to learn how to keep the time, and for those who like a bigger watch face! ... show more
