Purchased this to replace a wye hose that had cast aluminum connectors that corroded up and leaked. This product has steel connectors, and has been in use for almost a yr now and no problems so far. All good.

Some folks have been confused about the hose gender thing, this splitter hose is made with separate female ends that combine into a single male garden hose connector (GHT). It's intended to allow you connect a garden hose to both inlet valves (cold and hot) of a washing machine, for whatever reason you may have to do that. Otherwise, washing machine hoses normally come with female fittings on both ends. I used this "backwards" to combine the outputs of two rain collection tanks to a single irrigation hose, and it worked perfectly. The included wrench is a "it's the thought that counts" addition, it's unlikely to end up in your toolbox. But the hose appears to be well made with braided stainless steel to minimize the chances of it bursting. And it's a fairly unique item, not easy to find at a local hardware store.
