These things work! They saved me some money for sure. I had my subfloor pulled up to reinsulate and run new water lines, in the process somehow the main drain line from the kitchen had cracked right at the vent pipe. I was able to purchase a coupling, cut through the pipe right at the fitting right where that crack was, Reem out the fitting and reinstall a piece of ABS drain line. All is running smooth so far! The blade on these seems sharp, no loose parts as I've seen some others mention But it does come with a small adjustment allen wrench when needed. I could easily slide this into my Dewalt drill chuck, snug it up and go at it. I started slow but sped up once I had it started enough where I felt it would guide itself forward. Just be mindful not to cut too far in or else it'll cut through more than you bargain for and ruin the fitting. I purchased both the 1.5 and 2inch fitting savers because I'm working with both and have a few leftover ABS fittings I could potentially save for my new sink install

Had a broken sprinkler line but where it broke would require having to cut and replace several fittings and would have to splice in several pieces of pipe. Saw this item on YouTube so I decided to give it a try. If it worked as advertised, it could save me having to deal with so many extra fittings and pipe sections. It worked like a champ. It was easy, fast and efficient. I wish I had found this little device years and years ago!

Perfect! Does exactly as it promises. I had to put in a new tail piece to a drainage outlet that is flush just inside the wall and there was way too much old epoxy/cement glue build up on the inside to get a new pipe fit. This cleared it up in seconds with no issues or stress. Saved me from having to open up the wall and cut off the bad piece and setup all new fittings.

Does the job, but with only a single cutting edge it requires a fair amount of pressure to initiate the cut and a good touch to back out with a clean socket. I only needed the 2”, and will probably never use the larger 3” or 4” size. Based on the 2”, the larger sizes would be even more unwieldy.

Repaired a broken off irrigation main 1" pipe in a tee and saved time not digging up and cutting and replacing pipes and tee and other fittings. Just be aware that a new tee, and other fittings that pipes slide into, are tapered for an "interference fit" or "press/friction fit" and after using this to drill out a broken pipe you have a straight bore. So it's not going to be as solid a fit as the original. I bought the Christy's Red Hot Blue Glue & Purple Primer Handy Pack, and the repair is holding several months so far. I do have a 70 psi regulator on my irrigation to reduce valve breakages since our street pressure is 125 psi.

If you’re working on any Pool plumbing, this is a perfect item! I do recommend spraying it with a little WD-40 so that it doesn’t bind up, but this thing works great
