I received this guitar just 2 days ago. I can honestly say it's the best guitar I've ever played, although I 've never played a Martin or any other high-priced name. I wanted a guitar that has a full sound but isn't heavy like my electric Firefly. Let me break down what I like. Playability: The fingerboard is very smooth, no high frets, and ample space to play chords I hadn't played before. Happy I can play Classical Gas for the first time in about 15 years. The neck setting is perfect for me. RESONANCE: I have the Washburn hanging on my wall. I've been randomly checking the tuning as I walk by. Pleasantly discovered that the notes will "ring" for a few seconds as I leave the room. When I play the guitar, I hear strings that had always seemed muffled before.Great to hear full chords! ELECTRONICS: The tuner works easily. Just be sure to remove the plastic around the battery. The equalizer is something I'm playing with. Right now, everything is set at halfway on the dials. TUNING: Easy, smooth and holds the tuning fairly well for a new guitar. FINISH: This is a beautiful guitar that is both colorful and well finished. I only found one small clear coat blemish near the strap peg. It's nothing to get excited about. Overall, I am glad I selected this guitar. It will be great for gigs and open mics. ... show more

It feels very light, but that's a plus for me. Sounds very good. Out the box I had to turn the truss rod almost half a turn. It was buzzing slightly, the adjustment fixed that. Now it's awesome. The built in tuner saves me from having to buy another tuner. I keep one on my acoustics. Sounds and plays like a 300or 400 dollar acoustic. I would gig with it!! The Guitar came packed OK. Could have been much better packed then it was. And it was not a Amazon boxed, so the item inside is poorly packed. But arrived no issues. Guitar plays well, but will not be forgiving for Beginners. I would advise taking it to a shop. Pay 100.00 get the neck adjusted, new strings that are lighter. And you will then love this guitar. But its also priced low and to move. That said quality is really good. Sounds is crisp and very clean. Nice box as well. With a smooth sound. It sounds better then I expected it too. You will need a tuner, if you are new? It will come not tuned. But there are great simple tuners now days. You can tun in 5 minutes. Less the 1 minute a string. Inexpensive but great sound. The bottom is a little wider than I'd like and I don't like that there's no strap peg on the inside (but I guess if there were it wouldn't be "vintage), but it's a great deal and a great instrument for any level of player.
