Lovely package. Decent quality guitar, nothing crazy fancy but absolutely playable and sounds great. I would recommend replacing the strings, and shaving a bit from the bridge saddle to lower the action. Other than that, out of the box and tuned it's wonderful. The accessories are a nice touch, even if the gig bag is pretty thin, offering minimal protection. Washburn must have lost their minds because this is a STEAL! I'm a 20+ year semi-pro bassist. I always keep an acoustic six string on hand for writing and strumming. I have had several $100 guitars over the years and this one is by far the best one. Washburn is well known for producing quality instruments. Everything about this guitar is great. It is very playable, the neck was perfect out of the box, and it holds a tune exceptionally well. The real winner here is the onboard tuner and equalizer. The tuner is accurate and very easy to read. The equalizer has knobs for Bass, Middle, Treble, and Prescence. There is a master volume knob in the middle. Yes, it still comes with a clip on tuner. That's fine, I needed one for my bass since I loaned my last one to my guitar player. All the accessories are great. String winder, basic medium picks, excellent strap, extra strings, clip on tuner, and stand are all included. It doesn't matter if you've never played before or you're a seasoned pro- this guitar is an affordable addition to any collection. ... show more

$99 are you kidding me this is a great guitar I have a taylor but I'm very tender with it this one I can beat up it takes that beating stays in tune and sounds really good it has that Washburn twang I've always liked

These acoustic electric washroom guitars are actually excellent and are almost perfectly playable right out of the box! Not every day you can get a guitar for a little over 100 bucks and with very minimal adjustments, trust ride for a string height and tightening up a few screws and nuts here and there this thing plays the most excellent…! Almost as good as my Taylor 214 koa! And that is saying something for a Washburn budget Guitar! I purchased these starter guitar kits for a Flea market sales item and once they hear the one I have on display, they want it automatically. Beginner or intermediate you guys need to try one of these I will give it four stars right out of the box! Almost forgot… also need to change the strings to a better grade. I use Dio 1152 because the Chinese made strings come on the guitar. Just don’t have the tone! 👍💯 ... show more

Update after more use: I’m still impressed by the sound and electronics for the price, but I did run into some early issues. The guitar had some tuning instability at first, and the high E string snapped while trying to bring it up to tune. There was also a cosmetic paint/finish imperfection around the inner edge of the soundhole. The guitar does sound good for under $100, and the electronics worked right out of the box, but I’d recommend checking it carefully during the return window. My initial impression was very positive, but after the string/tuning issues, I’d say it’s a decent budget starter guitar with some quality-control concerns. ... show more

I absolutely love this guitar. I don't know how to play it yet but bought it to try to learn the guitar. My sister's boyfriend is going to try to help me learn how to play and he says it's a decent starter guitar and should give me several years without any issues (except for maybe a few broken strings until I learn it) and is a really good bargain for a brand new starter guitar. He's a musician with a band and he makes this this sound as good as any of his expensive acoustic guitars. I highly recommend this Washburn guitar bundle. With its built-in tuner, it's so easy to keep in tune and with its electric capabilities, you can plug into a amplifier and entertain or frighten all your family and friends. The finish isn't the absolute best but for the discount price, it's better than guitars in (and slightly higher) price range. The Ernie Ball strap didn't come with it but the included black Washburn strap that was included was surprisingly nice and very durable I only changed it because as Nathan Lane's character Albert Goldman in the 1996 film The Birdcage famously says, "Well, one does want a hint of color," and as this guitar is black. ... show more
