I had previously gotten a cat scratch post at PetSmart for around the same price, which is a bit ridiculous as it was so tiny. My kitten didn't even use it! The switch to this was incredible, as now my kitten actually uses the scratch posts all over, and enjoys resting on it when I am not home. He loves to use it as a way to get into the window sill as well. It is very sturdy. Set up was a bit confusing, and it took a while to figure it out and that the parts actually did have letters on them, but once I realized that, it was super easy to put together! Overall, I am very happy about this purchase. A side note, it does slide around a lot on hardwood floors; but I feel like this could easily be fixed by putting rubber foots on the bottom of it. I bought this on impulse because it was a great price. I do not regret buying this as I have 2 cats and my largest most chunkiest cat LOVES the softness of the fabric and the little cave. However, this tree doesn’t really work for adult cats…and I don’t think it’s meant too. Another reason I’m not mad about the purchase (it was a great price!!). It was really easy for me to put together, I couldn’t find the instruction video online but in the end I didn’t need it. The pictures included in the instructions were all I needed. The fabric does kinda pull apart easier than I would like, by that I mean, when I rubbed up against the pieces, bits of the fabric came off on my shirt. Not a huge issue for me, I like vacuuming and I love lint rollers. Because this is for kittens, my 5 yr old 10lb babe makes the top shelf bend a little, but she fits in the cubby hole and both hammocks perfectly fine. My second cat is having a hard time letting go of her previous tree as I suspect she knows this tree is for kittens and she’s rebelling. We put nip all over the tree, both cats love it, but my second sweet babe only investigated, but wouldn’t actually get on the tree. She does love the scratching posts, she’s got the sharpest claws. We’ve had the tree for a few hours now and I’ve noticed that my chunky cat won’t really allow my second cat on the tree, which is a little rude. I’d give this 4.99 stars if I could. It’s about waist high but can be set up to fit in narrow spaces. Good starter for kittens but may be too small for larger cats. Rope has been great for her teething and I like that you can decide where to hook the ball. I set one aside for when she destroys the first one. Kind of hard to get the first couple pieces in but once you get going it’s an easy assemble. Directions are fairly clear and hardly any weird smell from the item. Came with tools needed for assembly. I got this for my cat who is around 13 lbs. It was very easy to assemble, but very wobbly when she jumps on and she does not care for it. The baskets are tiny and I would recommend this item for kittens vs. full grown cats.

This is a very nice cat post for the price. Its pretty sturdy and doesn’t wobble when my cat is on it. He weighs around 10lbs for reference. It’s exactly what you pay for. I tend to go through them because I have four cats. They tend to get wobbly. And if your cats are like mine and actually use it as a scratching post, it only lasts about 6 to 8 months. And then it starts looking raggedy and I get a new one but the price is perfect. And they have other ones that are similar so you can switch it up. Kind of like changing your furniture around. I would definitely recommend them. ... show more
