We were very delighted to find that both my husband's road bike and his hybrid bike fit perfectly! (We had purchased a different bike rack from a different company and were very disappointed that neither bike fit the other rack.) The only thing we did not realize when it was purchased is that the bike rack is only truly secure if it is anchored into the floor/ground. We live in an apartment, so that is not an option for us. We ARE able to use the bike rack without anchoring it, but it is not as stable as it would be if it was screwed to the floor.

It's the sturdiness you'd expect for the price. It works well. For ultimate use be prepared to screw it into the floor. We use it without securing it but the bikes have to be facing a certain way for that.

Could be just a few inches wider but works great, I bought this because of the simplicity and the fact when home or at a campground I can set it anywhere for the bikes but I can also put 4 rivnuts in the bed of any of my trucks and bolt it in and strap the bikes for running to the lakes or trails, each tire guide has 3 mounting holes so I cut it in half and drilled a couple holes in the base to accommodate the 4.5" tires of my mongoose

This is what I was looking for but it could have been better. It will work but I had to buy tie downs for holding it in the ground or other wise it moves when placing a bike in the unit. I bought camping stakes which work great.
