This little wall shelf impressed me for the price. It was packaged very well (even had corner protectors on the two exposed corners, the other two were protected by the shelf brackets), is well made, has no flaws that I can see, and the brackets attach tightly. It is not real wood, even though the description says it is premium wood. It has the appearance of pressed wood with a vinyl laminate, but it still looks very nice. After attaching the first bracket and attempting to attach the second, I discovered that the holes were not quite lined up right. I removed the first one, flipped it to the other side (brackets only attach one way) and checked hole alignment on both brackets. This time they both lined up better, so you might do a check before installing them to make sure you are attaching them in the right way. One reviewer mentioned that it is terrible quality and very flimsy; that was not my experience with it at all. It is not made for heavy objects, so keep that in mind. I recommend using wall studs to mount when possible, and if not, definitely use anchors. I recently added a long shelf (that I stained) in my laundry room using heavy black metal brackets, and this goes well with that. I am happy with this little shelf. ... show more

This Shelf is really great, small but very sturdy. It is just what I needed. I did not want it as a projector shelf, but I did have a special need for a small shelf, and this Is perfect. It seems to me it's built much more sturdy than most shelves, especially small ones. It Has strong brackets, is held together with very strong Allen screws, and an Allen wrench was included to put it together. Installation was very simple and easy. The only thing I wasn't overly happy with was the anchors that go in the walls. I ended up using my own which are stronger. Also the price is really good for the quality, so I think it's a good value. ... show more

Everything was well in place, wrapped in plastic. Shelf edges were also protected, I would think to avoid unnecessary scratch during shipping. The shelf appears to be heavy duty and feels solid. It also has a very nice finish. The brackets are also of the same quality. Attaching the bracket to the shelf is fairly easy and once screwed down, the whole unit feels very stable. I did not use the screws that came with it, I used hooks instead as these are easier to use on my walls. My projector stays put and seems stable on the shelf, I was able to enjoy watching movies in just a couple of minutes.
