Works great. The only downside is the battery life when using the full brightness. I am perfectly fine with the predefined colors and design. The magnet is pretty strong. The only downside to these is sometime the remote don’t work. I have to press it a few times to switch. But I think that is the fault of the generic buttons on all these remotes made for practically everything. ... show more

I love the magnetic snap together feature, which allows the light to rotate as if on a ball joint. Remote control makes it even more convenient to use. Not quite as bright as I was hoping for, but since it’s meant to be a reading lamp it is plenty bright enough for that intention.

As technology advances to make things smaller and more affordable, engineers have the freedom to combine more features than ever before into what used to be single-purpose items... such as a wall sconce or spot light. This smaller spot light is amazing. It is small enough to mount on the wall near your bedside to serve as a reading lamp, or on the wall or shelf top to serve as a spotlight highlighting a piece of art, and so much more. Some of the neat features include the light unit attaching to the rod and base via magnetism, thereby allowing you to twist and adjust the light fixture to your exact needs. The light unit can be turned on manually through tapping a flat, flush button on the backside of the light case or by working the remote control unit. Through the remote, or by tapping through the on-off manual switch, you can change the color of emitted light (including white, blue, green, red). The remote features additional buttons to have the chosen light be adjusted to a low, medium, and bright setting. You can also set a timer to have the light turn off after four different periods of time. If you wanted, you could even use the unit as a portable flashlight or emergency light (you can simply pull the head of the lamp away from the arm and base because it is attached via magnets). The light kit comes with several screws to mount to the wall, as well as two 2-sided round sticky disks to tape the light to either the wall, nightstand, shelf, etc. Finally, the unit features rechargeable batteries and a charging cable is included (you need to use your own power brick). For some, the features and options can be overwhelming, but once you decide on the color you want, its intensity, and where to place it, you are good to go. I love the practicality of these little magnetic lamps, they offer light in so many places that wouldn't ordinarily be lit. The easy to mount base ( it has screw holes) has a magnetic ball on a short arm, that the lamp attaches to for a 360 degree range of motion and light placement. Wow, you can point a spotlight anywhere. Really wonderful for highlighting that piece of artwork, or lighting that dark attic corner. I love the mobility since this is a rechargeable light. (USB-C) You can take it anywhere with or without the base. ( which you can use it as a stand as well if unmounted.) The thing that makes the light different from other similar lamp is that it has the range of colors as well, so you can use bright white light, or any shade in the rainbow! This lamp operates by touch, and offers 3 light settings Bright, Medium and dim, ( The battery life is determined by the settings used.) This makes a good emergency light too. Grab and go. Use it where you want a nice beam of light. It is handy from Yacht to Tent. ( and everyplace in between!) Strong enough to read by, and good for hobbyists too. I'm generally not a huge fan of gold trim but my wife liked how this light looked so we decided to give it a try on one of the accent walls in our entry room and I was surprised how much I liked it. The gold is kind of a nice throwback and gives me the feel of classic hollywood and I liked the function of the multi-colored light. The light could be brighter but we have an overhead light we can use if we really want to illuminate the space so for our use, the brightness works great and really sets the mood. The magnet for the base that connects to the LED light is super strong and i appreciated having the option to use 3M tape or screws. Like most of these types of lights i'm not sure how long the battery will last after a certain number of charges but for the price I'm more than happy with this product and the tone it sets walking into our home. ... show more
