I'm well p!eased, and feel more safe. We have had several large breed dogs, not on leash, in the neighborhood. A couple have been very, very prevalent. While we, the neighborhood , have been able to address it legally, the owners are likely to just repeat their lack of training and supervision with new pups. Sad really. And potentially unsafe. I love this cane. I ordered this to protect my dogs while out on a walk. The sound is so loud it scares my dogs. I’m hoping if ever needed the sound will detour any loose dogs and I never have to actually use it to hurt a stray pup. I did accidentally discard my charger and have to reorder a replacement. It cost $23 and not sure if that includes shipping. 😖. My only negative is that while walking with the Cane I accidentally slide the switch forward and turn it on. I have accidentally activated the cane and my pups freaked out from the sound. If the slide switch was in another place it would be a better design. All in all I give it a 5 star because of how save I feel for my pups when walking them. ... show more

Background - I am an older person who walks my large dog Daily. I have always carried a big stick and a hand held 6” taser in a pocket when I walk. Used the stick a few times, never needed the taser, but do like to know I have it! After a neighbor’s dog was attacked by an off leash dog, I saw this product and thought it was a good alternative to what I was carrying. I now carry this device and the product seems to be well designed and well made. What I am commenting on is the 2year basic limited warranty (no additional charge) they offered and an optional extended 3 years warranty they offered (so 5 year total). What concerns me is they are charging $40 for the additional 3 year extended warranty and the restrictions on the warranty are quite restrictive,. Charging over 40% of the original purchase price of $98, seems excessive to me and perhaps speaks to their lack of confidence in their product. Feedback appreciated. ... show more

    • Confirming a three year lifespan
I can confirm the other reviews that the battery only lasts about three years. If seller has a repair kit I’d be interested as I’m left with a scary looking but non functioning stun cane to off put would be muggers. I kept it on charge but forgot the weekly testing since a year ago. So a year ago it was still doing zappy lightning and sounds but as of this last month it was a goner. ... show more
