The cane is stable with the slightest pressure on it, very slight wobble when free standing. It's as good as I expected for a welded construction and rubber tips. The weight is well within my comfort zone, about the same as a cane with one of those hard rubber, 4 point tips. The base dimensions are no problem for our house stairs. The adjustments are a snap and the locking knob seems secure. Glad I chose to save some money on this, it's a solid cane from a well known company at a good price. ... show more

    • Well made and sturdy
Liked that it adjusted shorter than most, my wife is short and most canes couldn't be adjusted low enough. The quad head is relatively heavy. Not to heavy to lift but it takes getting used to managing. On the other hand that makes appear and feel quite sturdy.

I use this quad cane to get out of the shower. I have my grab bars in the shower but I still had a little bit of trouble. This resolves the problem. It makes me steady on my feet and helps me to balance. It is well worth the purchase and you don’t have to put it together. It comes assembled.

The Carex canes are probably ok. I ordered two. Both arrived with the upper aluminum handle units mangled /broken beyond use, like someone destroyed them on purpose. I had to use old canes that I had to put them on the steel quad feet. And, the quad feet were missing some of the rubber ends. Had to order those. However, they could not destroy the lower quad feet sections. Very tough! ... show more

I Purchased two other cane support bottoms from Amazon. Both of them looked good but were duds ; the cane kept falling down anyway. This product is well made, sturdy, performs well, and does its job! Go with this one first and don't waste money on smaller cane support bottoms. Very Satisfied!

    • Incomplete but satisfied
Received first cane and it without a screw lock so it was very unstable and they would not allow me to return item or send me the screw lock. After several days finally was able to talk to a representative and they sent a complete replacement cane 😊.
