Fit exactly like the original on a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition 6cyl 4.0L. My front pipe is still stock and has never been cut or damaged beyond the cat so using this tailpipe with a Walker 18952 Direct-Fit Muffler fit perfectly. The 90 degree steel hangar (as pictured) is sitting half way through the original rubber hangar so it made it easy to slide it back enough to slip it into the muffler outlet. I used Walker Walker (33975) 2-1/4" Aluminized Lap-Joint Exhaust Clamp at the outlet connection and a Walker (33976) 2-1/2" Aluminized Lap-Joint Exhaust Clamp at the muffler inlet. Both fit and worked perfectly and made an overall very clean looking installation. ... show more

    • Save the time and the money
Got this for my 2001 4.0 grand cherokee. Decided to go with the preform pipe because I cut to much off at the muffler when it decided to fall off in the street and drag under my car. Luckily for me I had a Sawzall. With the way this pipe is formed, I definetly recommend getting the preform. It hangs from on hanger and is so close to the chassis and frame that if you try to right some pipes together to save 20 bucks, you'll regret it when it rattles non stop. The Walker pipe fit right in place and matched the old one perfectly. Save yourself the several hours and just get the preform. Use 2 2 1/2 exhaust clamps and an impact drill, have a buddy hold the tail pipe in place, hold the muffler up with a jack and then crank the clamps down and you'll be on the road. (One more important piece of advice, Jack up the wheel and let it hang, it will give you room to wiggle the preform pipe in without taking off the sway bar links.) ... show more

    • 2 1/4" and not the 2 1/2" as originally equipped for my 4.7 HO
This pipe is only 2 1/4" and not the 2 1/2" as originally equipped for my 4.7 HO and it does not have a chrome tip either. For a non performance engine it would be ok. I did have to re order the Dynomax 55044 but it was almost twice the cost and I did have to modify the hanger on the exhaust but not a big deal. ... show more
