The product comes as advertised. I was especially pleased with the deep wood tones that some of these build kits lack. It is a sturdy build that is mostly easy to assemble (with the exception of a couple of poorly piloted holes around the door hinge which require a bit more force than expected). Like many similar products, this comes with wood textured stickers to hide screw holes after assembly. While these do a solid job from a distance, it feels obvious and tacky when viewed up close. Luckily (or maybe not) my decision on whether or not to use these stickers was made for me: the adhesive is NOT sufficient and the stickers all came off independently after just a few days. I don't mind the look of this TV stand with visible screw holes, though, so this didn't impact my own enjoyment of the product but it's something buyers should be wary of. The 44" brushed white TV stand fits my small space perfectly. It took me about 2.5 hours to assemble it, but I was moving slowly as I wanted to ensure I followed the directions accurately. The instructions were pretty clear (minor grammatical errors- they didn't pluralize some words, so I was initially confused), and I only made one mistake by not looking at one of the visuals carefully enough (I had a piece turned the wrong way). Luckily, I caught my error pretty quickly, and the end result was a lovely, sturdy TV stand. Looks great once its built, Its very well packaged, and was in great shape. I had the door handle screws missing, however all the hardware was sealed in a nice bag. Also the Buckles for the screws appear soft and I bend 3 of them when tightening. Overall I am very happy with the finished product.

My husband and I really love everything about this entertainment center. It was a little smaller than what my husband thought it would be but it is a good fit for our apt. It is not solid wood but feels sturdy upon assembly. The assembly was easier than it looked being there are so many pieces, but it was a bit time consuming. Comes with spare pieces which is nice! Just finished putting this thing together. Took about 1.5 hours total including unboxing. I did it by myself with no help. A few thoughts: - Really well packaged - Great, simple instructions - You can use a power drill if you have one with power settings (I lowered mine to the min (2 out of 20) and it did speed things up. - Great finish on the white oak model. Nice distress look will hide scratches. - Plenty of extra parts to spare. - Fire place looks really nice. - Super strong and well designed so no issues with weight * My only ding would be the hinges for the two front doors. They have some play and as a result the doors to catch a bit when opening and closing. I tried my best to get them centered before tightening down the screws. One door ok, the other catches a bit. Not enough for me to lower by a star. This thing looks great for the price. ... show more

This is a beautiful TV stand but it does require a lot of patience to assemble. Be sure to follow directions to the T or you will be taking it apart to fix issues. The connections are those locking screw-in things that once they are in place will break very easily if you need to redo them. They are cheaper versions and not enough extras are supplied. I ended up ordering better quality replacement lock screws on Amazon for those that broke (9 broke). Very sturdy and great looking when you put it together properly. ... show more

This is a beautiful piece and it's very sturdy. The heat is also really strong and heats up my living room very nicely. I built it myself and I am usually not the type to build anything, so I would say it was very easy to follow the directions. The only thing that frustrated me was that the nails for the door hinges broke as I was screwing them in. The top of it just broke off so easily and the rest of the nail remained inside so I couldn't get it back out. I didn't want to ask for a replacement and have to rebuild the whole thing again so I decided to crazy glue it so it wouldn't look weird, but I do know that the hinges of one of the doors aren't fully secure with the 6 nails total they're each supposed to have. ... show more
