Really like this tv stand. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Be sure to read the general instructions first. It is definitely a project for two people. It is a good idea to allow two days to assemble this, but it is worth the effort.

This is a very nice piece of furniture. It is definitely a cut above all the other assemble at home stuff you normally would get at this price. A couple of things: 1) it IS darker than in the picture (almost a cherry-wood color). I'm personally happy about this, since I was banking on the other reviews HOPING it was darker to match my bookcases…and it does. 2) It is a LOT of work to put it together, I'm pretty handy, but it still took me a few hours. On the plus side, though, the instructions were clear and it went together easily enough, just very tedious Instructions say not to use power tools, but I couldn't imagine doing this without my electric screwdriver. Just make sure to set the torque low enough so you don't strip out the wood when drilling in screws. All in all, I highly recommend, and you simply can't do better for the price.

For the price, this is a pretty decent piece of furniture. The good: This looks really nice in my living room. The darker brown of it helps give the appearance of a more sophisticated piece. It also comes with little "wood grain" stickers to disguise hardware on the inside to make them unnoticeable on the completed unit. The swing out storage doors were the main thing I was looking for in a TV stand, and they hold a lot of DVDs. Other reviewers indicated that they had damaged pieces but mine was perfectly fine beyond one tiny little scuff that was easily covered with brown marker and was in a spot where it would not be noticed anyway. Other reviewers have also indicated that the build instructions were confusing at times but I didn't feel that that was the case at all. The bad: Even though the instructions were pretty clear to me, its still going to take a long time to put this together. It took me about 3.5 hours to complete it by myself. The one swinging door sits a little funny (see picture) and bothers me a bit. I'm going to try taking it off and see if I can reposition it. Its not terribly noticeable and it does not hinder the door from opening or closing properly though. The ugly: It. Is. Heavy. I'm a small woman so it was very difficult to get this into my house from off my porch. And that was just trying to lift one end enough to pull it over the threshold and then push it in. If you need to get this to another floor of your home, you will either need to be very strong or have someone help. Overall, with the issues mentioned, I'm still happy with the purchase. It seems to be pretty sturdy, it looks nice, and it has a lot of storage space.

I actually like the look and sturdiness of this after everything has been put together. It doesnt feel or look cheap and will not collapse if you cough near it. It's a rich brown with slight red undertones. I guarantee this will not take you 2 hours maximum unless you are a very diligent and experienced assembler. You're looking at 3-4 hours out of your day roughly. The instructions say to use a screwdriver to put everything together but for the love of all that is holy do not listen and just use a electric one or better yet a power drill. Screws will not go in all the way without one! Just pay attention to your speed and pressure so you don't break anything. All in all, fantastic product for the price point.

I love it! I was looking for a dark finish, the color is as pictured. I’m a 66yo female, I assembled it by myself 4 hours. It would’ve took so long if it wasn’t for all the small pieces for the back of the doors that creates storage for the dvds etc. I hate ordering furniture online, if it turns out to be not as described I flip out… I was relieved that it turned out so so well. WARNING: It says in Directions do not use a drill or tighten screws to tight… it can bust the boards where the screw hole is. Just saying. Don’t go at it like you’re the Hulk. This isn’t made of solid wood. Didn’t happen to me, that’s why assembling took me so long, I hand screwed all them darn screws. Like I said very happy with this.

The color of this cabinet is good and most of it is sturdy. However, the bottom pieces are pressboard and broke off as I was trying to move it. I was pretty upset about this with it being a brand new cabinet. I fixed the problem by taking the bottom decorative front piece and the two sides that broke completely off. Since the bottom long board is wood, it is fine. I have this cabinet sitting on carpet, and it looks ok now—just a little shorter than it would have been. The designers really need to rework the base of this unit and put something much sturdier on the bottom. I would have returned this item, but it would have been impossible to get back into the box it came in, which itself, was in pretty bad shape when it arrived. This cabinet is ok for the time being, but I will most likely replace it with something better made in the future.

I was really excited about this piece, and very disappointed now. It was a nightmare for my husband to put together. It took him about 3 hours and he’s pretty handy. The directions were confusing and he had to redo several different parts. It’s also very cheap composite wood and isn’t sturdy. When he was finished putting it together, he asked for my help to stand it up (it was lying on the back side at that point), and it seriously started to fall apart. The pieces don’t stay together like they’re supposed to. He had to pull out some gorilla glue to glue some pieces to make them stay correctly. Several pieces also split when he placed one incorrectly. It’s still barely staying together and I’m kind of worried about it’s stability holding our 60 inch TV and loaded with DVDs in the doors. The storage capacity is great and it’s a nice looking design but it wasn’t worth the money paid. The finish is also super cheap and already has some spots that are chipping off. But it was so much trouble to put together, and it technically is holding together for the moment, so we aren’t going to return yet, but we’ll see.
