Very good bed for the price, in my opinion! Super easy to assemble for one person alone, even standing it upright and moving it around. Plenty of spare hardware, too! Some things I will HIGHLY suggest for the assembly process: 1, obey the directions. Do not get ahead of yourself, no matter how much you might want to jump the gun and juuust put that ooone little part in before the other. And obey the directions when they tell you not to tighten the screws all they way until you're done. Trust me on this. And 2, no matter what the other reviews say, DO NOT SKIP THE LITTLE GREY SQUARES!!! They are absolutely vital to the integrity and stability of the bed! Prepare your thumbs, because it WILL hurt like hell. Use something to apply pressure to help snap them in that will save your fingers, but DON'T hammer them!! Now, the bed is pretty stable for a loft bed, but could stand to be a lot better, like a thin bar across the floor to keep the front legs a little more secure. The height is great, even for a lower ceiling. I can sit up just fine and not bump my head, and was able to fit a full desk under the bed on one side, and a full size table on the other, with plenty of room for my rolling chair underneath and plenty of head room. It's an INCREDIBLE space saver! My only problems with the bed are that it's scarily wobbly, especially when climbing up. If you have any kind of molding on your baseboard, the bed is going to be a bit further from the wall than you'll want. The L brackets included will not reach, and you'll have to get creative with how you secure it to said wall. Make SURE you secure it to studs only. Even secured though, it's still frighteningly wobbly, so be aware of that. Every tiny movement you make, you WILL feel dramatically in the entirety of the bed. It's very audibly creaky, too. It is the shakiest when climbing up into the bed, and the lack of a dip or space in the railing makes it a bit of an annoying challenge to get in and out of. My other complaint is shared by everyone else in that the ladder rungs are INCREDIBLY narrow, at best approx 5/8ths of an inch diameter, and are very painful on the feet. They're also super smooth and offer zero traction. HOWEVER, my biggest complaint is that the motion of climbing in and out happens to force the rungs to loosen and turn little by little, unscrewing them from the ladder. Climbing up one night, the middle rung turned on its screws and rotated inward like a smooth little conveyor belt roll, flinging my leg through and causing me to fall. If I hadn't had an excellent grip on the top rail at the time, I absolutely would have broken that leg. Thankfully I was only left with a substantial amount of paint. So, daily tightening of the rungs is what I'm reduced to, and considering a contact cement on the bolts. Instead of the pool noodle trick most folks do to make the rungs more comfortable, I instead chose a route of safety, and used reflective-striped non-skid stick-on stuff used for outdoor stairs, cut into strips that fit the rungs and circled them around completely. This way has kept my feet from slipping off and makes me more aware if the rungs start to become slightly loose again. Definitely recommend this trick, especially more than pool noodles which can also themselves spin around the rungs. All-in-all, decent product, even for an adult like me, which is great for anyone who doesn't mind climbing into and out of it. Excellent for anyone in college who needs to save space in small living quarters. I prefer the top bunk in a military barracks to this loft bed, is that says anything, but it's not the worst bed by any means. Definitely recommend it over anything a certain large Swedish store sells for your own assembly. It's the perfect game changer for a tiny room, regardless of your age. Just know that if you have to pee in the middle of the night, you will hate life. If you get thirsty, then it sucks to be you. If you have diarrhea, vomiting, or are drunk, then you're better off sleeping on the floor. Do NOT use ANY amount of haste getting in or out of this bed, period. It's really a pain to get in and out of, due to the height of the railing that sticks up higher than the mattress. If you have male anatomy, you're going to rack it multiple times, and there's no avoiding that. Even as a female, there's no avoiding it. Despite it's flaws, it's actually the best loft bed I've found, especially for the price, after doing a LOT of research. I do recommend it, just beware that nothing is perfect. Cat absolutely loves it.

Pretty easy to assemble - just takes some time to screw everything together. A few of the pieces had the paint chipped off them already but it's so big and bulky that it's not worth returning for new pieces. Thankfully it's not too noticeable. Kids like it so far .. I wish the opening to the ladder was slightly larger so that it will be easier for the kids to climb in when they are bigger.

I was in the hunt for a loft bed since I have a really small room, and this is probably the most decent one I can find with my budget (keep in mind, I'm only a student). I love the fact that the stairs are made against the two sides, that way it wouldn't take up more space than it should since other loft beds now have the diagonal stairs where it's separately attached onto the horizontal portion of the bed. The package arrived on time, and it is what the description says. 1. Receiving & Building the bed Overall, I would say that the worst part about ordering a loft bed is to build it because unlike my other loft bed, every single part is separated. If you receive this bed in the mid-afternoon, I would suggest you to start building it the next morning so everything and every part would be completely finished. Sadly, I didn't do that and this project took up the whole night (and of course, I have school the next day) and I still wasn't done. If you are a smaller or petite person, I would suggest asking someone strong and tall to help you with this, 2-3 people is enough. Because every part is completely separated from each other you have to be extremely careful and you BETTER read the instruction manual. The parts that are given on this bed are all cut perfectly, so there will be a lot of parts where you'll have to force or push into the exact space because there isn't any loose portion between each metal stick. Another thing is that you have to make sure everything is secure after you fasten every screw because if not, the bed would squeak and move around a LOT. And trust me, it's really important to make sure you check after screwing in every screw TIGHTLY (it's pretty shabby, so be extra extra careful to that). Remember, when you're done building this loft bed, make sure you have some heavy things to put against the inner two legs that holds up the bed on each side. This is because if there isn't something heavy holding against those legs, every time you move around on your bed, you'll feel like you're about to fall off. TRUST ME, this thing is 100% fragile, and so make sure it's secure and won't move around after you load everything onto your new desk, and on the bottom by the two supporting legs. 2. Pros Of course, the pro is the large table space and the roomy under leg area it comes like. The table is wide enough to put your laptop, speakers, mouse, two table lamps, a miniature fan, and book holders. On the side, the two little space attachments are perfect for things like mail, pencil/pen holders, and other stationary items. Below the space, there is a great amount of space, so I placed my printer there. The bed is REALLY secure (especially since I placed a lot of things to support the legs of the bed), and the work area is very spacious. 3. Cons The screws gets loose very very very easily, so you'll have to check on each screw on every month (ex: if you finish building your bed on 2/4 then check it monthly on 3/4, 4/4, 5/4.) and make sure to tighten any that came loose. The heavy support can also move out of place causing your bed to start squeaking or moving around more often, so you'll have to keep moving your heavy objects until you find the perfect force. Sometimes you'll feel the bed moving or swaying while you move in your sleep (if you're a light sleeper like me), in order to stop that, MAKE SURE YOU ADD THE SECURE CLIPS with each of the separate metal bars that supports your bed. If you're really tall (which I'm not, but not short either) you'll have to get up slowly so that you won't hit your head on the ceiling. (FYI-I'm 5'5", and I wake up in a rush, but it's not to the point where I will hit my head, but if you're 5'6" be aware) Another thing is that the metal bar stairs are pretty thin, so I would suggest to climb down one step with both feet, then move to the side, and climb down. (For ex, the thicker supporting bar is the side you would want to move your body to after the first step so you won't hurt your foot in any way. Vice versa, when climbing up, climb up diagonally putting your full support on the thicker bar while moving one foot up at a time, NOT TOGETHER. Then adjust yourself/push yourself up on the last step)It will definitely hurt your foot if you move up each step together putting your whole weight to the middle of your foot, so move up quickly like regular stairs. Also, you have to make sure when you are getting up from your work area to kneel a bit so you won't hit your head (I'm used to it, so it's easier for those whose been sleeping on loft bed). 4. Price & My thoughts for $200 something dollars, it's worth the price. Although it may be less pricey as other loft beds you might see on amazon, be aware because the process is really tedious. Unless you have someone professional to put this together for you. It's very spacious, which is always a good thing, and not to offend anyone but please don't try to proceed any sexual intimacy with this bed as it is a loft bed and you might end up breaking the bed after you pleased yourself. This bed is only good for regular sleeping. Also, try your best to cope with the building process if you are working with other people because it will bring out the worst in you. Take breaks, but not long breaks as it requires a LOT of time and adjustment. I would recommend throwing away every box and Styrofoam when you are done with a specific part so you won't have to deal with the mess. This bed, as it is a twin size you can actually fit two people on the bed. But of course, it's not recommended if you are the other person is the ninja sleepers (move around a lot in sleep) because it will allow the screws to become loose and your whole bed will move with you. If you are afraid of heights, don't get this bed! it's pretty high up by your ceiling so if you look down... good luck. ALSO, be aware that this bed isn't as sturdy as you would believe so just because it is metal. It's NOT. This bed requires monthly checkups. But aside from that, this is a really really decent loft bed. It's good because the stairs on the side saves up a lot of room. If you have a big room, don't get this bed. This is basically made for dorms or smaller rooms that can only fit a bed. If you have more room, just get a regular bed frame and a separate desk so you won't have to adjust yourself to a bed.
