We purchased this for our TV. It was relatively easy to assemble, you just have to really pay attention to the diagrams in the manual. The reviews stating that the holes are wrong is incorrect, you just really have to pay attention. I did make an error and found things were not aligning correctly, but it's because I messed up, not the manufacturer. I am pretty sure this is the case for everyone that said the holes were wrong! It's easy to mix up! I used an electric screwdriver which made it much easier to assemble. I would not use a drill because it could damage the wood. Its very sturdy and we love the way it looks! We opted for the no Door look and we plan on putting lights under that top shelf! We are very happy with this purchase ... show more

I don't write many reviews. I almost never write one right away but, this tv stand is the best furniture kit I have ever put together. It is heavy, gorgeous stain, and sturdy as can be despite it's height. Height was my first worry when buying and then reading the instructions about bolting it to the wall. I have plaster walls and do not want to drill into them. Nor do I want to lock myself into not being able to rearrange my living room as I please with the tv being locked into it's spot with wall anchors. Yes, I could patch the plaster and paint but why? This unit is incredibly stable with my 55" Samsung sitting on top. I suppose if one had small children and were afraid they'd try to climb up on it it could tip. Not likely but could. Normal day to day living? This stand is stable. I did 90% of the build by myself without issue. I think I could have done it all but a friend stopped over to help me get the top on as one of the final steps. It did save me time and effort in that one step and I was grateful for the help. As I took pieces out of the box and began assembling the stand I was so impressed with the quality. As noted above not just good looking but heavy too. Packed very well with lots of foam padding. No scratches, dings, or broken pieces. All of the hardware was there along with a package of spares. The tube of glue included was barely enough and if I had a complaint\wish it would be that this should be increased by at least a half if not doubled. One could easily use too much at the start and find themselves short at the end. If you buy one I would go out and get a small bottle of wood glue to have on hand for when it arrives. The first night I stopped short of putting on the doors as I wanted to get my tv, sound system, and consoles into the stand and hooked up. It's also been my experience with kits that sometimes the doors are the weakest link and, when added, take away from the quality of what you already had. Well, the next day I put the doors on to see. They went on and were aligned properly on the first try. Same great quality as the rest of the kit. I had two small issues with the build. 1. One of the four wood bolts that attach the bottom to the middle shelf structure would not self start. The simple solution was to get my drill and start a pilot hole and the bole went right in. 2. Like number one the screws to attach the hinges also would not self start. The wood is very hard and the screws very small making getting leverage hard to do. As in one the simple solution was to start a pilot hole and, with that, the screws went in easily. In the end I could not be more happy with this tv stand. It's not just functional but a beautiful piece of furniture as well. 5 star product in my opinion. ... show more

This product turned out to be better quality than I expected. It looks great and is very sturdy. I assembled this alone, took my time while watching TV and I had it complete in under 2 hours. Instructions were very easy to follow and all of the holes lined up perfectly. Carefully Follow each step and it flows together very well. Our 50" TV looks awesome on this stand. I do feel they need to change the Specs in the description because this stand is 15.5" deep, not 18" like it shows on the site. I was happy because 18" would have been a bit too deep for our space. ... show more

This TV stand was easy to assemble, easy on the wallet, and easy on the eyes. The pictures do not do it much justice. The color is more of a grey tone. I've received many compliments on it already, and it's just be a little over a week. I wanted a TV stand that my soundbar would be more at ear level while sitting on my couch, and also closer to the wall mounted TV. @IKEA...you guys should take a page from THIS company’s self assembly production line. Good quality engineered wood, but more importantly...EVERY PIECE was CLEARLY marked, every dowel hole was drilled to perfection, and cam lock was aligned correctly. If I wasn’t originally intimidated by putting together this piece by myself, or back aching from lugging it up a few flight of stairs by myself (thanks UPS /s), I could have put this together in an hour at most. Has plenty of storage, it’s perfectly sized for my needs, and I look forward to using this piece for years to come. ... show more

We purchased this unit to go under our 70" tv we have mounted on the wall. It is a handsome piece of furniture for the price. The instructions were a little complicated and it had lots of screws, dowels and bolts. I was a little overwhelmed at first by all the parts when I first opened the box...it took almost an hour to sort and inventory all the parts. I am a 65 year old woman and it took a good 8 hours to assemble everything. The instructions were a little confusing a times (like which was the back or front). I did put a few pieces on backwards because of this issue...but I figured it out. This unit is very heavy, so you will need help standing it upright. My biggest problem was with the enclosed hex key...it was a bit small for the job and was quite a challenge for my arthritic hands. However, it is assembled and I love it. Would I buy it again? Yes. Would I recommend this to family and friends? Yes. ... show more
