Assembly took around 3 hours. I cheated and used power tools--but part of me regrets that I did, as I did put a few dings in the interior. The instructions weren't terrible to follow, if I looked closely at the pictures. But here were the biggest problems for me: --A few of the pre-drilled holes weren't straight. It was only a big deal in one case, when it contributed to my putting a screw through the face of one drawer. --The screws they directed me to use in a couple places, weren't long enough to do what they were supposed to do. I had to make do with what I had: other screws, nails, and glue. --One part was mislabeled --There was not nearly enough glue in the little packet for the bazillion little pegs that have to go into this thing. I used my own. --There weren't enough nails for the back. If I didn't bend or lose any of them, I would have had just enough. But we all know that never happens. The finished product is OK... It's not going to be a piece of furniture that gets passed down through generations. The drawers aren't as deep as I expected them to be. I wouldn't put it in a kid's room unless it was anchored to the wall (there is a kit that comes with the dresser) AND unless you put those pegs in toward the end which keep the drawers from coming out (I opted not to do that because I want to be able to remove the drawers if I need to). But for my purposes, it'll do. No way I'm disassembling it to send it back, that's for sure! ... show more

For the price, certainly can't complain about a solid wood dresser. Once assembled, it works well and holds quite a bit. Assembly is much easier if you have a drill handy, as there are a lot of wood screws to put in place.

- Expect to spend 2-3 hours building this. - I recommend using power tools. Use them at 3-5 torque strength to avoid over tightening. - 95% of surfaces are real wood so thats nice. Wood is soft so its prone to dings if not careful. - There are screws and pegs that look quite similar to one another so I recommend following instructions carefully. I found 1 mislabeled part (17 is labeled as 15) so be careful. - HIGHLY recommend purchasing “paraffin wax” and applying on drawer glides to make them smoother. - get your own wood glue. Supplied amount is not enough. For the price, it’s a great deal. ... show more

I have mixed feelings about this piece. It ended up looking pretty nice and haven’t had any issues with it, but man was it hard to build. Had to end up buying different feet because the ones provided just wouldn’t screw on. I would recommend if you just need an inexpensive piece of furniture and you have a lot of patience to build ... show more

    • Decent wooden dresser

This is a nice looking dresser for my daughter's college apartment. The white paint could have used another coat, however, because you could faintly see the wood grain showing through. It took 2 people about 4 hrs to put together. Instructions were ok... BUT, make sure you look at all the pictures to see which way certain holes are facing and spaced. No real problems at all with assembly, it just takes a long time with so many pieces, and having to wipe each piece down w/ a damp paper towel due to "factory dirt" and styrofoam balls all over them. This is a little on the small side, so if you need large drawers look at others. It arrived with all pieces intact and no damage. One thing, though! This does NOT have metal drawer glides -- they are just slots on sides of the drawers and wooden glides that they recommend using candle or wax to treat. That's sort of lame, and not sure how long the drawers will hold up. But the photos on this listing (at this point in time) are incorrect because they show metal drawer glides. I wish they were! One other tip: This is a HEAVY piece! So you might want to consider that if you need to carry it up 2 floors of stairs like we did. ... show more

I’ve been looking for a really long time for a dresser that was not fiber board. This is all solid wood. I only gave it four stars because my husband added better drawer glides, and we also added sturdier and more visually proportioned Legs which we ordered on Amazon.
