This cute, functional little bench is great for a small space. It has a rustic look but could fit in with lots of different decor. Mine sits in the living room, near the front door, under a large window with some pillows on top. It can provide some extra seating. The seat opens with a hinged lid and there is a compartment that provides a decent amount of storage - it is not very deep though. Then there is a shelf below where you can put storage baskets, shoes, etc. I frequently get compliments on this little bench.     • A real pain to put together but great otherwise
Just to get this out of the way, it’s a real pain in the behind to put together. My partner and I had the hardest time and it took a couple hours total. Just be prepared for that, no easy ikea-style assembly with this one. On to the positive! it’s very sturdy, looks great, and is good quality! Our cat loves sitting on it and looking out the window, and there’s plenty of storage space. Overall I'm really happy with the product and can tell it will last for years to come! ... show more

This product is a great value for the cost. It's very sturdy and I love the fip lid for storage. I was able to fit about 6 pairs of size 8 shoes in there. On the bottom shelf I was able to fit about 5 pairs of men's size 12. The only little issue we had was assembly. The two pieces of wood that go on the inside of bench with predrilled holes for the hinges were not labeled properly. After we put the whole thing together we noticed the holes for the hidges were on the opposite side. We would have had to take the whole thing apart to flip it around. Instead my husband just drilled new holes for the hinges and it worked out just fine. I would highly recommend this product. It's beautiful! ... show more

I got this after being tired of having a pile of shoes next to my door when I have visitors or even my own shoes just laying there. Being disabled I also wanted a place where I could easily put on my shoes and take them off without having to take them to the couch or my dining room chairs. It’s cute, sturdy, easy to put together, and has so much space! It took me about two hours to put together and it went smoothly. I’m able to fit three blankets, my air bed, and the thing that blows it up! And I can fit quite a bit of shoes, I’m keeping one pair I often use and keeping the space for guests. This is a great product! It came in yesterday and it took me about 20 minutes to assemble. The directions are very simple and everything was labeled nicely. I recommend using two people when screwing down the lid to the base, but I was able to do it myself (after a few minutes of struggling). This bench is sturdy and looks just like the picture. My wife loves it (which, let's be honest, is really all that matters). The lid feels stiff when opening, but that's actually nice so that it doesn't bang into the wall or anything.
