Easy to put together (with two people). Sturdy. Perfect size for our 55” tv. (Storage containers on shelves in my pictures are a separate purchase.) The only problem: the predrilled holes for attaching the door hinges are not quite positioned correctly. The right side door doesn’t close unless we lift up as we are closing it (see photo). The front doors feel a little less sturdy than the rest, because the interior panels of the doors are thinner than the rest of the piece of furniture, but still decent (compared to many items). Otherwise, the design is well thought out. The back is even quality - not cardboard! It’s still thin board, but not cardboard. And it is three individual panels (vs one large piece tacked at the back), that are well fitted into grooves/slots, and they even have hardware that attaches behind them to ensure they remain snug and secure. The packaging says it was designed for Better Homes and Gardens. My mother told me she saw the same exact one at Walmart for twice the price as on here! ... show more

It took about two hours for the two of us to get the stand put together, we worked at a very steady pace and were watching Netflix as we went. I was very pleased with how easy it was to assemble, the directions were very clear. I didn't even want to say anything about how well it was going so that I wouldn't jinx it! We had a slight hiccup when attaching the sides and we found that the directions had a misprint in the pictures-- the side panels were flipped upside down so that when we tried to attach the sides to the main build of stand, the holes for the dowels did not line up. But we were able to undo the stand's legs and flip the panel easily to how it was supposed to be. My one recommendation is to pre-drill the holes for the door hinges or just use a drill. The directions advise against using power tools, but the holes are very small and it was extremely difficult to put the screws in with just a screw driver. Otherwise, we had no issues with using only a screw driver for assembly, but it does help to have a couple screw drivers of different lengths as a shorter or longer screw driver worked better depending on the angle or location of the screw. This tv stand turned out perfect! Size is accurate, it is made of great quality (actually very heavy and sturdy) and the color is exactly as pictured! Our tv is 65” for reference! You can’t beat it for the price! The directions are a little confusing, but it’s easy to reassemble if you mess up!

So I had quite an adventure trying to get this thing stand delivered to me in the first place. I paid extra to have it brought inside my entryway as I live alone and was worried about being able to carry a heavy box over my front door step. So I scheduled a 3 hour window which came and went with no delivery, no phone call, nothing. I was very upset as I rearranged my schedule for this and felt I should have at least been contacted. I spoke with Amazon and this was not an issue with the courier, but actually with the Amazon fulfillment center. The Amazon rep I spoke to was very nice and offered me a a small credit to compensate for my trouble and a ticket was put in to try to track down my order and I would be contacted with an update. More time passed and after receiving no update, I reached out and spoke with someone else at Amazon who said they would put in a new order for me as enough time had passed and “something happened” to the original piece. What happened, I’ll never know but I also didn’t care as long as I just got my new order. This involved emailing and speaking with a special number for certain Amazon orders like this one for large furniture pieces. I had asked about the extra money I paid to have the piece brought inside, but the people I spoke to didn’t have an answer. Eventually the delivery people came (in a rented truck, no uniform, no identification. I am a little confused as to what courier they use.) However, it was very nice to have a GPS tracking function of the truck to see exactly where they were so I would be home in time. I left work early as they were nearly to my house and my delivery window was first thing in the morning. After I got home I watched the truck turn and go around my house and make 5 other stops before me. I work nights and had to stay awake for this. Eventually, the 2 very nice men made it to my house and I asked them if they could please help me bring the package inside, which they did even though my order did not indicate I had paid extra for that. I am thankful these men were so nice after this mess. Finally! I had my tv stand and could put it together. The quality is very impressive for not being solid wood. I had recently put together another piece from another company so the difference really stood out on how much better this one was. It even includes wood glue for extra sturdiness for some of the parts. The reason I did not give many stars for ease or assembly was because some of the pilot holes were positioned in a place that no one would be able to contort their hand with a screwdriver properly. The doors also were an issue because they are just held on with flap hinges, not an actual hinge. This leaves no way to adjust to make them straight. You aren’t supposed to use power tools, but using a screwdriver with the tiny pilot holes was extremely difficult. I had to have someone hold the doors while I screwed them on because I needed to brace the stand to be able to get the screws to go into the pilot holes. After the very long journey of just getting the stand delivered to my house, to the frustrating assembly, I am now overall happy with the product. I only gave 4 stars because the positioning of the pilot holes in one area (the magnetic door stoppers) are nearly impossibly for a human hand to screw straight into. Also because the door “hinges” could have been a better design, but I assume this is for esthetics. The quality of wood is very good for not being solid wood, and the color is beautiful. Packaged arrived fast. Box was a little damaged, but no boards on the inside were damaged. Warning !!! Put the door stoppers on the doors before the end. I found it impossible to put them on after it’s fully assembled because of the angle. I should have put them on when the doors where not assembled on the product. Other than that it’s sturdy, easy to read instructions. Some stickers came off labeled bags of screws but I figured it out. It took my 11 year old daughter and me 2 hours to assemble. It’s pretty sturdy. The doors panel is a little flimsy feeling but the top and sides seem very sturdy. Can’t beat the price !!! Goes well with my better homes and gardens cubbies I have as end tables. (The one with four cubby holes that hold totes) ... show more
