We bought these because we wanted some nightstands with a mid-century look but didn't want to pay a couple hundred dollars for versions from West Elm or Crate and Barrel. I thought they'd be flat pack like most furniture I buy on Amazon, but the table and drawers came pre-assembled and all we had to do was put the legs on. These night stands are very well-made and look great, and the drawers are roomy and slide smoothly. The only drawback was the drawers gave off a very strong smell, probably whatever they used to finish the wood, for a week or so.     • Run, don’t walk! Don’t be fooled by it being real wood.
TL;DR: DO NOT SPEND YOU HARD-EARNED $$$ ON THIS GARBAGE. Really nice looking from a moderate distance. Assembly was straightforward and easy. This is where the good stops and the bad begins. Very strong lacquer-like smell from both pieces that I purchased. The wood is incredibly thin. Probably couldn’t be any thinner without falling in on its own weight. Very top heavy given the thinness of the wood. Feels like a fragile toy that won’t last. The drawers take an act of God to open. It was like the drawer boxes were a quarter of an inch too large. If you plan on using the drawers, plan on a second person to assist in opening. I purchased these for functional drawer usage—not just looks—and because of this, they went back. Ended up sending both back for a refund. Note, Amazon had to take special action to provide a refund otherwise I wouldn’t have received a refund. There’s a reason why so many of these units are available for purchase through the Amazon Warehouse. Many consumers are sending these back. ... show more

    • Perfect MCM Style Without Breaking the Bank
Absolutely love these MCM nightstands and the best part is that it was so easy to assemble. Great style and color that is relatively inexpensive. There is a slight smell upon initial unboxing, but dissipates after a week or so. The one improvement that could be made to the construction is a sliding rack system for the drawers. For 300.00 I figured these were not going to be high quality. I need a place holder until I can afford the real deal. That being said I expected them to come intact and free of damage. See pictures for details. The nightstands came out of the box damaged and falling apart. UPDATE: The company returned the damaged dressers and sent replacements. The new dressers were damage free. Other than the strong smell from the stain the dressers are just what I expected and I will be keeping them. ... show more

Like others have written, I only received one stand at first. Then I asked for the second. Amazon offered a 50% refund instead. I took the refund and ordered a second nightstand because the first was pretty nice and I wanted a matching pair. A few days later I received a second nightstand. A few days after that I received a third nightstand. So, something weird with the fulfillment here but overall turned out to be a success. They're nice nightstands and take all of 2 minutes to assemble. ... show more

I love my new nightstands! The color is beautiful and the quality is great. No issues of them being wobbly or the legs being uneven. I would definitely consider these a West Elm dupe.

    • Chemical Smell was too much for me!
I thought the nightstands were beautiful, and very easy to assemble! It was a little wobbly once assembled, but I still would have kept them if it wasn’t for the smell. For me the smell of the chemicals off-gassing from these was SO bad that I had a pounding headache minutes after getting the first one put together. It took washing my hands so many times and eventually with lemon and vinegar to get the smell out of my hands, there is no way I could sleep next to one of these, and honestly in my opinion no way someone should. I’m returning these and looking for some built with better standards, even if it costs me more. If you’re someone that doesn’t use chemicals in your home and is more sensitive to chemical smells, I’d recommend staying away from these. ... show more
