I was very pleased with the product overall. Expresso is more a dark cherry color, but it is a beautifully stained product..not painted. Very well made and of real wood not partical board. The directions were very well written. It was easy to assemble. (My only suggestion is to clearly write on the plastic bags the part letters. They placed a very small square of paper with the letter name inside the bag. It was difficult to locate the lettered paper and sometimes it was flipped.) My husband and I put it together in approximately 2.5 hours. The box was very heavy. We are older, so we opened it up and took out some of the piece until the weight was what we could safely move. It arrived a day early! We purchased these for when our grandkids come to visit. We needed more beds to accommodate at least 4. We chose this design with the ladder attached because of our tight spacing in the room. Accommodating 4 beds in a room is a tight squeeze. It was a great value for the money. I was also pleased with the weight limit on these. It was 400 lbs. Those grandson will be older one day. (Other bunks were only 300 lbs - 350lbs.) This bunk is perfect! Love the color, the Price is right, the quality is solid. Very easy to put together. The only thing I struggle with was when itnarrived in one box i could barely move it. I would definately buy it again

4 hours for 2 people to assemble. Be careful to use the exact screws listed ; some look similar. We had to unscrew some pieces bc we mixed them up. All pieces were included. Seems sturdy I’ll know more once kids use.

The lower bed was able to hold two adults and a kid without any issues. Assembly is as expected for this large furniture with clear guidance. Note, take time to tighten screws as some were not fully inserted and looked as stripped. All materials seems to be made from some very soft wood/pine. sturdy wood. the main issue is not having holes to place the screws in the bottom of the ladder so it attached to the bed frame
