This is a beautiful hardwood dresser that feels solid and well-made. It’s about 90% real wood, with only the drawer bottoms and back panels made from fabricated wood. While it isn’t built for storing heavy textbooks, it works perfectly for clothing and everyday use. The piece is sturdy, weighs around 96 lbs, and the finish is absolutely exquisite. It also comes with an anti-tip wall attachment, a thoughtful addition, even though I chose not to use it. I can’t speak to the assembly process personally since I hired someone to put it together; it took them about 3–4 hours, and they were very experienced. The dresser arrived with a few tiny dings, but they were so minor I didn’t notice until my assembler pointed them out. The drawers use wooden sliders and still open and close smoothly. Storage capacity is average, yet more than enough for clothing. Considering the quality of materials compared to much of what’s sold today, I’m very glad I purchased this when I did, especially since the price has gone up since. I was so impressed that I went ahead and ordered the matching nightstands to complete the set. This is definitely a piece I see myself keeping indefinitely. ... show more

This item took one and a half people four hours of steady work to assemble, with the main worker experienced with many Ikea projects. So it is a project. The wood is soft, so some care during assembly is needed so as not to damage the piece. That being said, the final product came out as expected and is functional for a college student. ... show more

Awesome piece and about an hour with a drill to install. Metal pieces weren’t the junk type that fall apart. Only dialing was the drawer stops, which can be fixed with some wall inserts and screws (dowel hole is too big).

Hard to build but if you have the right tools it should only take your 3-4 hours. Overall very happy as I have the nightstand version of this and got this while it was on sale!
