  • Worth it for the price
Color: Natural Pine
Okay these nightstands actually look so nice BUT they do take an insanely long time to build. The instructions are pretty clear/straightforward but there are sooo many little parts and screws and bits that need to come together and since it’s really not advised you use a power tool as over turning could crack the wood this process takes forever. Once they are finally put together tho it’s totally worth it. I spent roughly $80/nightstand and think for all the price it’s worth taking the time to build them. They look much more expensive in my room than they were and they fit a lot in the two drawers. The lip around the top prevents stuff flying off the nightstand when I’m blind grabbing in the dark as well lol If you’re on a budget and can build IKEA furniture you got this! ... show more

  • Mixed experience
Color: Natural Pine
Pros: - Solid wood - not composite engineered wood fiber like Ikea. It's really solid wood which is rare at this price point. - Nice design/style - looks contemporary and modern, also unique since the wood grain is unique and not glued on veneer patterns. - Good price - really competitive price for the style and material. Cons: - Extremely labor intensive to assemble - there are no pre-drilled holes for the connecting screws and it requires you to hand drill the screws at a 30-45 degree angle. You also can't use power tools as it might crack the solid wood and the cheap screws don't catch when using power drill versus hand screwing. Expect lots of manual labor to apply force down the screwdriver in order to hand screw the screw at an angle...and there are at least 50 screws. It took me 1 hr 30min for the first nightstand even with a power tool once the screw is in, and 1 hour 15min for the second one. This is no Ikea assembly, this is close to carpentry. - Poor QA - I bought two nightstands, and the second one had one drawers with incorrect cutout on the left side so the drawer won't close properly. It's basically a slanted drawer that won't close completely. - Chemical Smell - both nightstand had a strong chemical smell resembling gasoline from 4 wood pieces that holds the drawers. The wood pieces are inside the drawer but had some spillover glaze, stain, or varnish that gave it a strong gasoline smell, everything else didn't exhibit the chemical stench. Being nightstands it was placed next to my bed and I felt dizzy and got a massive headache from the chemical stench. The gasoline smelling fums may be poisonous to your health considering it's next to your head for at least 6-8hrs every single night. It'll also make any cloth you put in the nightstand smell like gasoline. Overall, i'd advise against buying furniture from this company even if it looks nice and the price is cheap. ... show more

  • Looks great.. But I do agree tedious to build.
Color: Caramel
I love putting together furniture.... But working on this will put you through the test... Of whether not you do love putting together furniture..haha... Everything on this looks solid. But I must say too many small pieces. I just wished they actually built it and sent it to you.I think it would go long way... I want to buy the other sets of dresser drawers... But I am sceptical due to the nature of how you have to build this thing... I will buy another one of these to finish the set for my bedroom... But I'll think about getting the other dressers...at this time.. ... show more

  • Good Product
Color: Natural Pine
I was hesitant reading the current reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised with the product. Great quality and really not that hard to put together. Quite a bit of parts and screws to put together, but wasn’t bad at all. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a nice, simple, solid nightstand.

  • Meh
Color: Natural Pine
Mine had a broken piece of wood and another warped piece. I was able to still use it and get it together with a little work. Not sure I would buy another one though.

  • Lots of assembly and tiny drawers
Color: Natural Pine
Nice solid wood, but I returned anyway. I am good at assembling ikea furniture, but this was way beyond that. No predrilled holes and lots of screws. Once I took the parts out of the box I also realized that the drawer capacity is only about half the height of the drawer fronts. Side rails for drawers are much shorter, and the bottom portion of the drawer front extends way below the drawer bottom. ... show more

  • Several Sloppy Pre-drilled Holes That Do Not Alighn for Proper Joinery! Mislabeled Parts!
Color: Caramel
The Walker Edison LEE (not "Blythe") Mid-Century Modern Wood Nightstand has been altered to save the company some money, but then they didn't bother to update the assembly instructions. (sloppy) These instructions label the parts completely differently than what W.E. actually printed on those same parts. (sloppy) Also, the hardware pieces they took out to save money are still illustrated in the instructions, but of course now there are no places to install them. (sloppy)-- But what is really cool is that the company has NO QUALITY CONTROL. Nobody noticed that because the side edges of the top panel has several holes drilled in a slight zig-zag alignment, so there is NO WAY TO JOIN THEM to the side walls because the several corresponding holes on those side panels are drilled in a straight alignment! The only good part about working to correct all the sloppy drilling mistakes they built into this nightstand is that the wood is nice and thin and light weight. If you still want one of these, you will ABSOLUTELY NEED a power drill, an assortment of drill bits, wood glue, and a rubber mallet to coax parts of this little jewel into 90 degree angles. I truly wish I could give Walker Edison negative stars for their sloppy work on the Lee Nightstand. Oh, AND this very nightstand is sold on Amazon under the name "Blythe" instead of "LEE" because they messed THAT up too. (insert eye roll) ... show more

  • Sturdy, looks good, great value
Color: Caramel
Assembly was not that hard. Instructions said no power tools but I used a small drill with no problems and it definitely sped up the process
