I bought this because I was getting neck pains from sitting at my desk to look at the monitor straight on. Now, I can extend it and lean back reclined in my chair with it angled down slightly, or sit comfortably with the screen at eye height. My neck pains are completely gone. Also, because the arms are all metal. There are some plastic chord covers, but the actual arm is completely metal. It also easily moves aside for when I need more room. I have VR and pushing it aside to prevent mishaps is easy, as is putting it back in place. I actually have two of these, one on a stand next to a bed for a smaller Asus monitor that I use for watching Youtube videos in bed. I can pull it out over the bed to watch while reclined or lying down. The other is on my desk, with a 32" LG that weighs slightly more than what max weight rating. It weighs about 22lbs and this holds it up just fine. You will need to tighten the tension with the allan wrench on the arm for larger monitors. The thing is, you don't feel much tension when tightening so it may not seem like you are tightening it, but the upper arm will resist more to being pushed down. It does the job though and after a few months of use, is holding strong. I can move it up and down as I like, but the way I use it I've pretty much left the one on the desk at max height, and the one by the bed I move up and down for comfortable viewing. I don't use the clamps, but rather drilled a hole in the surface of my desk and stand to use the grommet mounting. It's very solid and doesn't budge. Very satisfied with these after a few months of use.

I purchased this for an iMac. I did not realize there are two very specific mounts for iMacs depending on the year model. Additionally, the iMac is too heavy for this mount. If I were mounting anything else, I’d probably really be happy with the purchase. Instead, I have had to fight with and modify and buy extra parts to make this work with a late model iMac.

The mount is stable and holds the display easily but for extra stability I added some threadlocker to the screws that connected the pole, the stand, and the clamp because the screws did loosen after using it for two days causing the pole to wobble when adjusting the arm. After adding the threadlocker the pole doesn't budge at all and holds the display with ease, so far an amazing alternative to an ergotron.

I am using this in my home office with a LG 27" 4K monitor. I have two iMacs on a much more expensive stands (Ergotech) that I really like, but figured why not give this a chance. Assembly was very easy and the instructions were pretty clear. Adjusting for the weight of my monitor was simple too, but I admit I went the wrong way first try. That this competes with my other stands at 1/3rd the price or less is a very nice surprise.

I’ve had this for a month and have a 24” monitor attached to the desk mount. Overall I’m very happy with it. It feels secure on the desk and the monitor does not wobble. It was nice having so much range of motion with the mount because it allowed me to place the monitor at the perfect angle and height. The fact that it also holds the monitor cables in a little channel down the swing arm is nice and keeps my desk area looking a little more organized.
