We threw away our damaged cloth potholders and replaced with these. I love that these are silicone and much more durable than cloth, but there are a couple of things that could be better: 1) Too thick — although extra thickness protects from burns, it’s almost too thick to grasp dishes well 2) Holes for hanging — while a great idea in theory, I have almost burned myself a few times due to the placement of this hole. In the future, I will look for ones with no hole, as I don’t hang mine anyway. 3) Cleaning —the waffle design retains water so item is harder to get fully dry. I’ll look for a smoother/flatter design in the future ... show more

They are great to put under hot dishes to protect the table. Love the little holes to hang them up on. Easy to clean, the pattern makes it hold water so you just have to flip them when drying. They get used daily. Would recommend.

It serves the purpose but I prefer the wooden ones better I guess. These have holes in the top that takes any debris or liquid from the dish and you have to take it to the sink and one clean with the spray faucet. You cannot just like that wipe it with tissue on the table. Also not easy slightly move it around with vessel on top because it’s porous silicone and very loose so it has to be lifted and only moved with 2 hands ... show more

The larger mat is in my microwave on top of the glass turntable. I got tired of hearing the sound of dishes hit the glass turntable and this silicon mat (larger of 2) takes care of that. I have the ripply side face down and the smooth side up. I've learned it's easier to clean the smooth side if there's a spill. I'm also glad that I don't have to take the glass turntable out to clean it. I had to stand on a step stool to do that. I have the smaller mat on my glass stove top as primarily a heat resistant pot holder. I'm very happy with this purchase and recommend them. ... show more

1) great quality 2) the round vs square are of different thickness and flexibility and you can choose one as trivet and the others for getting super-hot pots out of the oven. I find that the round vs square are great to choose the ergonomic support you need: when I had a "mitten" type, my thumb ended up painfully "fighting" the design. These adapt to the way your hands are, are not slippery and super safe. I clean them in the dishwasher; you just have to shake them dry afterwards because of the honeycomb design that retains water droplets. Or just place on a drying mat and roll to dry. ... show more
