  • NIce narrow bars with a sweep for comfort.
I'm an old man. Flat bars are for people who can't wait for the arthritis to kick in and want more pain now. Being old and already having arthritis, I'm not going be selfish and hog all the wrist pain for myself so I'll leave the flat bars for others to enjoy. Anyhoo, I built a monstrosity. It was my now-grown kid's 20" mountain bike he outgrew 15 years ago. I put an extended seat post, short crank arms to avoid dragging, and a 750watt 48V mid drive motor. It's a highly maneuverable short geared torque monster that climbs any hill and tops out at only 20mph. And it has a comfortable very well made handlebar. ... show more

  • Quality Handlebars
I used this product to gain a more upright position on my bike, because of neck problems. Wald makes quality handlebars. Perfect fit and good finish. These are narrow, 19.5 inches and are probably made for a 24 inch bike. The other bars I found with a six inch rise were 27 inch wide cruiser bars. I ride in congested areas don’t need an extra seven inches of bike width. They look a little odd on my old 26 inch Trek. I thing it’s a safer alternative to a stem extension. It’s a good price and delivery was quicker than expected. ... show more

  • Worth every penny
What's not to love about this handlebar? I turned a fixed gear / single-speed into a comfy townie without having to resort to a super wide cruiser bar. It keeps my bike looking sleek while making it much more comfortable. It's hard to figure out what these look like since there are little to no pictures online, but once you get the ruler to your bike, you can pretty much envision the dimensions -think cruiser handlebar but chopped off at both ends. ... show more

  • One year later....
Been watching these Wald 1066 bars for a while for earlier builds... been using 870's but wanted something a little narrower. They look like I stole them from a kids bike, but they fit perfect! Barely enough room for grips and shifter, though... . One year later, I still like them, but I like to change things/fiddle... you know. Can't come up with a valid reason to swap them out. They're narrow and that comes in handy... ... show more

  • Easy to install, comfortable to ride with
Decent, basic handlebar. We mounted this on the rear half of our tandem bike for my wife to try out. She wanted her handlebar a little higher and a little closer to her body so she could ride in a more upright posture rather than slouched over. These did the trick perfectly! This took about 3 minutes to install, although admittedly that has literally nothing to do with the handlebar and is all about how the bike is designed, but still... ... show more

  • Extremely SMALL
The shape of the bar is perfect but they are super tiny like what a 6yr old would use on a tricycle....

  • Mini High Rise ? Handlebar
I replaced the front forks on my cruiser bicycle with a '' springer '' single coil spring front end. The factory wide cruiser handle bars had to go. I decided on the 6'' rise narrower Wald handlebar , roughly 19 in. wide with the grips installed. My initial reaction was , the handlebars look like they belong on a youngsters tricycle . Kinda funny looking. I decided to not be so critical and ride the bike. The 6'' rise was perfect in that you are now riding more erect, that is not leaning forward with your head down. I found the narrower bars more comfortable position and now I do not mind my recollections of a tricycle. I like them. Nothing bad to add. They really are OK. ... show more
