The fabric is thick enough to hold everything together but stretchy enough that I never feel restricted when bending down to pick up baby toys. Having that extra bit of physical reinforcement around my stomach gives me much more peace of mind while navigating my daily household chores and taking care of the newborn. I love how high it sits on the torso. It covers the entire abdominal area from just under the bust down to the hips, ensuring there are no awkward bulges spilling out the top or bottom. The seamless knitting technology is a brilliant touch. There are absolutely no thick seams digging into my sensitive skin, which is exactly what my recovering belly needs right now. The pressure is distributed so evenly across the whole area rather than squeezing tightly in just one spot. Spending the entire afternoon wearing this was incredibly comfortable. I mostly lounged around the living room and did some light tidying, but the garment stayed perfectly in place. The flexible bones built into the sides do a wonderful job of keeping the fabric upright without poking into my ribs when I sit down on the couch. I selected this waist shaper because I wanted something that could smooth the midsection under clothes without dealing with hooks, clasps, or bulky seams. The compression feels firm around the waist and lower stomach. It helps smooth the tummy area under dresses, jeans, or fitted tops. The steel bones give extra structure and help the shaper stay more upright. The no-roll edge is helpful, especially compared with softer bands that fold down quickly. The fabric has stretch, so it moves better than a stiff corset-style trainer. It gives some lower back support, which is nice when sitting or standing for longer periods.
