This trainer is excellent but the Wahoo app is just okay
This trainer is awesome. Very smooth, quiet, and capable of generating tons of load. I've got about 2000 miles on mine now and its been flawless. I went with the cassette rather than the Zwift hub since I'm using MyWhoosh. I would rate the the Wahoo app as fair to good. Its great for getting started and there's a bunch of good work-outs available. Alas though, the free trial runs out eventually leaving you with only basic functionality unless you upgrade to the paid version. I did fine the app a bit non-intuitive to use at first but it wasn't too hard to figure out. Unfortunately the free version of the Wahoo app apparently only runs on a phone (android or apple); I couldn't get it to run on my PC without upgrading to the paid version. I also had issues with the app getting disconnected from the trainer if tried to keep in running the in the background while I used my phone for other things. This is why I wanted to run the app on my PC instead so I could use my phone for whatever I needed. Eventually I switched to MyWhoosh and those issues are in the past. Definitely would recommend using MyWhoosh with this trainer.

Perfect addition to our summer.
Purchased during the winter with the intent to prepare for the summer cycling season. Then the smoke and heat arrived making it nearly impossible for us to get outside safely. This unit has served us very well and allowed us to continue riding indoors. We needed a different hub to put a Specialized Aethos, 12-speed cassette on the unit, but out of the box setup was simple and Wahoo service was prompt. The unit is very stable and quiet.

Great trainer!
I had never used an indoor trainer before, so I didn’t know what to expect, but I absolutely love this one. The automatic resistance adjustment based on the terrain makes a huge difference. As the route changes, the trainer adapts, which makes workouts far less boring and much more engaging. Seeing the map and elevation profile during the ride adds to the experience, and you genuinely feel like you’ve completed a solid workout by the end. Setup was easy and straightforward, even as a first-time user. I would strongly recommend the Wahoo KICKR CORE to anyone looking for a realistic and motivating indoor cycling experience

Easy set up and sync
So far so good, this is replacing my original more expensive kickr. The kickr core 2 was very easy to set up and syncing with my phone and head unit was a no-brainer. The Kickr Core 2 is self calibrating so no spin down required like the first generation kickr.

Connection Is Not Always Good
I rode five times for various workouts and tests, ranging from 5 to 90 minutes, and think it's time to review it. The setup was really easy, as other reviewers said. It's quiet compared with friction type trainer stands and felt great. However, there's a big issue for me (hoping it's only me). The connection between this guy and my Fenix 6 is not stable. The ANT+ is supposed to be reliable, but it's only true for other sensors such as cadence, heart rate monitor, and foot pod, etc. This product claims work well through ANT+, but if you check my attached screenshots of the five workouts, clearly the power output has intermittent dropouts regardless of the time span. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps and turned all the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth transmitters/receivers off for an ultimate try, but still, there were too many dropouts. I submitted a return request because the constant dropout contradicts the training purposes. I hope other people don't experience what I'm suffering.

Excellent for a Specialized Sirrus X 2.0 large frame, compatible once you replace 11 with 8 speed
Excellent for a Specialized Sirrus X 2.0 large frame, compatible once you replace 11 with 8 speed. Feels strong and very minimal sound. Set up was mostly straightforward, except the instructions' QR links point to other, slightly different products, so stick with the physical manual that comes with it. It offers many functions to track your exercise, and it picks up heart rate if you broadcast it from a heart rate monitor, like a Garmin Venu 3. I am a regular person, medium fitness, and this offers a ton of resistance if I want, and ease if I want. Very happy with this.
