7 weeks post total knee replacement and PT signed off on me a week ago. All I had was walking and I really wanted to continue working on getting my knee muscles to loosen and get stronger. Arrived in a sturdy cardboard box with all pieces intact. Husband was able to assemble with ease and without tools after watching a video and reading the enclosed instruction booklet. Came with traveling pouch and a front wheel block. No mat needed on a hardwood floor. After mounting my Townie 7- speed bike for the first time in a year due to knee pain, I was able safely ride again, although for a very short amount of time to start! The best part was afterwards, my knee felt better, lots better. I am so glad I made this purchase.

My old bicycle mounts easily in this trainer stand to allow for some exercise in the basement all winter long. It works as well as the advertisement described. The noise level is not bad at all - only a mild whirring which I would expect. It folds up neatly or summertime storage.

I bought this trainer because my girlfriend and I live in Texas. During the summers, it's too hot to be riding during the middle of the day. Plus, with her busy schedule, it can be hard to get motivated and allocate the time. This seemed a perfect way to keep active but not spend a bunch of effort or time. I've had the trainer for a few weeks now and really enjoy it so far. Some Pros & Cons below, for your consideration: Pros: - Super easy to assemble. All you need to do is thread the bolt and unwind the magnetic resistance cable. Everything else is already put together. Nice and easy. - The whole kit folds up nicely and barely takes up any space when not in use - Getting the bike mounted is a little tricky at first (unless you've used a similar product before) but is pretty easy once you get used to it. Just remove the rear wheel bolt from your bike and use the one the supplier provides (comes w/ the trainer). Once that's in there, it's just a matter of adjusting the width of the clamping mechanism and the height of the resistance wheel - The magnetic resistance is actually pretty strong; I'm decently fit but really struggle to pedal when I have the resistance dialed all the way Cons: - It's a little louder than I thought it'd be. It's not deafening. Can you maintain a conversation with someone? Yeah, probably, but they're probably not going to fall asleep or be on a work call while you're pedaling. Not a huge issue but worth knowing - It's not quite as stable as it could be. Could be that I don't have my bike mounted properly but when I get out of the saddle to do hill climbs, I actually rock the whole thing. Makes me worried I'm going to fall over. I think the legs of the trainer should be longer and spread wider to keep the whole thing more stable. You can probably put some weights on the legs to help with this. Will give it a try and update this review - The magnetic resistance setting thingy has a clamping mechanism that is just kind of small. I think the manufacturer thought people would clamp it to the handlebars but it only opens so far and it makes it somewhat hard to find a good spot to clamp the thing. Had to put mine around the drops which is a little annoying. For my girlfriend's bike, I have to really force the thing to fit on the handlebar and I'm worried I'm going to break it at some point. Overall, I really like it. A solid piece of equipment and I'm very glad I bought it. Looking forward to putting more miles on it.

This product was to replace a 30 year year old bike trainer that I finally wore out. It is indeed an improvement over the old trainer. Much quieter, it's a much better workout.

I had total knee replacement surgery and needed to work at getting my strength and mobility back and the surgeon said using a trainer would be a good way to do that. After completing my PT I started working out on the trainer......it was tough but I found the trainer to be very sturdy.....that's one of the things the surgeon was concerned about. I did use a stepping stool to get on to my bike since I had to raise the seat up so high in order to get the rotation on the petals. It does make a little noise but it's not to loud. I have this set up in my garage but could easily move it inside and not distract my husband's work from home. I'm happy to say that the trainer has helped me make progress on my healing and I'm not far off from taking the bike back out into the street again. I recommend this trainer!

Got this for my husband, as the heat is just too extreme for his usual rides outside. He really is enjoying having the ability to get in his ride without the heat danger! Easy to get setup and adjusted to his bike!
