Description

When VViViD started manufacturing vinyl, we quickly realized that the quality of installation depends largely on the tools you use. So we built a wish-list of installation tools that we, as vinyl wrappers ourselves, would like. As production ramped up, our designers acquired knowledge that could be applied to other tools besides vinyl wrapping implements. Today, VViViD manufactures sought after tools for home, garden, and vehicle maintenance. Experience one of VViViD's most popular wraps! VViViD Gloss White is designed to perform for DIY'ers and Pros alike, all while maintaining professional grade manufacturing standards. Our wraps are easy to use, safe for your paint, and continually improved every batch. Don't Forget This Step Posting heat to automotive vinyl, also known as post-heating or heat-setting, is a crucial step in the vinyl wrap installation process. It involves applying heat to the vinyl wrap after it has been adhered to a surface using a heat gun or a heat source specifically designed for this purpose. The self healing coating will protect your film from swirls, light abrasions and scratches. Simply heat out most damage you see with a heat gun. Like most vinyl manufacturers we use Solvent Based Acrylic Adhesive for our wraps. Air-release is great for installation by releasing air through adhesive channels. We are continually using the best UV absorbers and light stabilizers in our films ensuring a finish that will not fade, crack or fail. Thickness: 3.4 mils, Application: Dry, Features: VViViD Natural Air Release, Centerpoint Technology, VViViD Heat Fuse & VViViD Resist, Adhesive: Acrylic-based, repositionable, Expected Durability: 5-7 years, Conformability: Very High, Skill Level Needed: Low Does this vinyl wrap require a heat gun for installation? Yes, you will need a heat gun as the vinyl's adhesive is heat activated. Heat softens the vinyl which makes it more pliable and stretchable, making it a lot either install. Post heating also contributes to the long term durability of the vinyl wrap. Can I wrap my car at home? Yes you can. You will need a dust/particle free space to properly install your vinyl wrap. You will need the proper cleaning material to prep your car before the wrap and the essential tools (heat gun, knife, etc) for the install process. What tools do I need to wrap my car? You'll need a heat gun to stretch and set the vinyl, a knife for precise cuts, a squeegee to smooth out air bubbles, buffers for the squeegee edges to prevent scratches, and a tucking tool for clean edges and tight spaces. Can my vinyl wrap survive the winter? Yes! Your vinyl wrap can survive winter with proper care. Use a ceramic coating like FUSE for protection, wash regularly with a vinyl-safe soap, avoid scrapers, and don’t use hot water or high-pressure washers. Park in a garage when possible. • Paint like for a vinyl
Size: 50ft x 5ft (Full Car Wrap Roll)
I bought all the tools, tape and vinyl from Amazon. As a home DIYer, it took me three full weekends for this job. Got a lot of compliments like: did you repaint you car? I think that would be the biggest compliment for a vinyl wrap. YouTube videos was extremely helpful. Small tip: be patient about bad paint surface. Must take off/sand off the very bad clear coat layer before wrapping. I got bit by that couple times. Could be faster. Pic1 is the original color. Night and day difference. Update: The review made the pics resolution so low... It looks better in person. For comparison, the Audi in scene is Ibis White ... show more

Looks great easy film to work with. Self healing. Has micro finish close to orange peel from factory paint.

  • Wrap can look great, but is very difficult to work with. This is not for the novice or DIYer
Size: 50ft x 5ft (Full Car Wrap Roll)
I bought this wrap since CKWraps (Youtuber) has been recommending VViViD for so many years. I love his channel and finally decided to wrap my entire 3000GT with this stuff. The wrap looks beautiful when applied correctly over simple panels. You need to prep the car properly and take your time in order to get the material to stick and stay down well. Planning how you will lay down the vinyl is essential. However, this material is very difficult to work with. It is not nearly as stretchable or forgiving as other brands without using heat. It is also very difficult to move the material if it has touched the surface of the vehicle. This causes a lot of glue lines in the material if you need to re-position it multiple times. Maybe tack reducer would be a good idea, but that will reduce the overall life of the vinyl. Also, the material loves to pull up at the edges, even if you post heat it, and in some cases even if you use 3M edge sealer products. TLDR: I would never use this product again unless the car has a very simple body design, I was only wrapping a couple simple panels or I was having the car professionally wrapped. I would never recommend this product to any DIYer or novice that wants to wrap their entire car. Try a different brand that is more expensive and easier to use like Avery or similar. ... show more

  • I wish I would have bought 3m instead
Size: 50ft x 5ft (Full Car Wrap Roll)
had this installed by a professional who prefers 3m wrap. This person has wrapped my type of car before using 3m wrap. the adhesive is not very good. some bubbles started to appear after sitting in the sun after a few days and after the first time of driving in the rain, the wrap started to peel under my rocker panels. I wish I would have spent a little more and bought 3m wrap ... show more

  • Get 3M DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!
Size: 50ft x 5ft (Full Car Wrap Roll)
Went with this product because it was cheaper than 3M but I regret it. Adhesive durability is so bad it started coming off and peeling in just 3 weeks! If you have a few extra bucks laying around just go for 3M don’t make the same mistake I did.

  • Worst purchase I’ve ever made. Complete garbage.
Size: 50ft x 5ft (Full Car Wrap Roll)
Probably the worst vinyl I’ve used. It literally doesn’t release any air, I’ve had to go and rework spots 4 or 5 times and still will have small air bubbles or wrinkles, definitely wouldn’t recommend, I should have just stuck with 3M. On top of that. I would work areas to where they were perfect and come back within 24 hours and those places would be peeled away or full of air. This wrap is complete trash ... show more
