In my specific situation, this worked great. The satin/matte finish laid down with very little trouble on my roof rack bars. I am somewhat familiar with vinyl wrapping: scale of 1–10 with 1 being “what is wrap?” and 10 being “I’m a pro like CKWraps on YouTube” I’d say I’m a 6 in knowledge about the product, but a 4.5 when it comes to installation. I did another Jetta roof rack for a friend in Vvivid Gloss Black (using this as an example for a standard baseline comparison) and that material gave me a little more trouble than the Satin/Matte Red (maybe something about that glossy top coat when not using heat). Another plus to the satin/matte finish, you won’t get any micro-scratches when applying with a squeegee or wrap glove, like you mostly likely would with a gloss wrap when not using a specific wrap application lubricant (makes the job pretty messy). A potential downside to the red satin wrap is that it is slightly transparent - which actually worked out in my specific situation because the roof rack bars had labels to let you know which end of which bar goes where, and you could still read the labels through the wrap - this helped a ton in installation on the car (they aren’t noticeable from 2-3 away. But I bring this up because if you are planning on a doing a color change from blue for example, you would definitely have have some color bleeding through the wrap - the Vvivid gloss black did not share this characteristic, it offered complete coverage. Onto durability, it is solid. These roof racks get smacked with so many bug guts it unreal..and even after not washing for nearly a month, I finally whipped out the pressure washer and gave it a little elbow grease, it always came right off with no signs of residue or discoloration or tearing. It has been 2 months of application (mid March to mid May) and it has been on the car every day and never garaged and has been through several washes. I am beginning to notice a slight fade on the color( not sure if it’s just my eyes or not, I will update this review with a side by side as soon as I can to either way!. When I first inspected the vinyl, just to make sure everything was in good condition, I could tell that it was really good quality stuff. The color seemed even better in person and I began disassembling my car at once. Using a heat gun made the vinyl very easy to work with and apply to the curved surfaces. It was my first attempt at wrapping, so it didn't come out perfect, but it still looks great. I will definitely but their products again!

I bought the same foil for car wrapping the second time and the second time it came with a defect, it is damaged, it has four scratches, the first was too short, whether you are doing it on purpose or out of spite, I do not know what length or time it is again.I will use this foil to cover the car, not the paving slabs, so it must be of good quality, not what you sent me.

This is a good vinyl. It was easy to manipulate. I just wish it was more sticky. Did majority of my truck for little price. I just ordered more to have just incase because a piece did scratch off a little.

I’m only rating this a three star because it was a waste of money FOR ME. The wrap is great, the color was perfect, but please DO NOT BUY if you are inexperienced in wrap, and you plan on going at it ALONE. Have a friend to help. I tried to do a gas tank for a motorcycle and it is not easy. Very difficult to get the curves right. Adhesion is great. You don’t need the wrap adhesive spray just clean your surface really good with rubbing alcohol and you’ll be good, it was hard to peel off once I realized I can’t do this by myself.

I haven't actually used this vinyl yet but here's what I can tell you right off the bat: it's not as flexible as the 3M 1080 series so I'm hesitant to try heating it up to mold it around corners. The color is noticeably darker than most 'default' reds out there. I tried using my Galaxy Note 3's camera to show the color, but it's not very accurate. In the photos I have the 3M 1080 matte red on my mouse and the 3M carbon fiber (from dbrand) on my Xbox controller. The wireless Rii keyboard is just there for comparison. I actually like the deeper red that this vinyl comes in, but now it just doesn't match any of my other devices. I haven't even cut this vinyl yet, so I've yet to see how it handles. It has an interesting 'leathery' pattern on the sticky side, which I assume is meant to help it stick to surfaces better. I'll edit my review once I put it to good use.
