  • Installation is a bit tricky, but I love the result Installation is a bit tricky, but I love the result
Size: 15ft x 54"
Here's my story. I redid my front yard with turf. Looked great. And then a few months later in the summer I noticed weird streaks across the lawn. We live in the desert. What was happening was the sun was reflecting off the windows and burning lines in the turf. So I got this material to put on the OUTSIDE of the window to block the sun from reflecting on the grass and melting it. I only needed to install it in the windows that were causing a problem. 4 Panes on the first floor and 4 on the second. It can be a pain in the you know what to install. Especially if the sun is out or there's a little bit of heat. The material will stretch and it's difficult to avoid bubbles. We got a good install though. By the last of the 8 panes we were doing pretty well. You for sure want to do it in the shade if possible. Precut it to about 1/2 inch bigger than you need it. Fold down about an inch of the paper backing and line up the top but press against the window at the bottom first and then up. Then go about 2-3 inches at a time, rolling the paper down and pushing it in to the window. Don't use a spatula cause you can easily cut the material. Cut the excess with a blade when done. If you get a crease lift it back up and try again. But if it's hot out it will stretch. Small bubble can easily be pressed out with the back of a fingernail or just you hand because it's perforated. Heat will also help smooth it out and remove small creases. The windows really looked great after it was installed. They still reflect enough light that the HOA shouldn't notice that anything is on there. They haven't yet anyway. It does provide some darkening and solar benefit in the rooms where those windows are. And privacy on the inside. It's been installed for about a month now and it's been over 100 outside and it's still doing good. I doubt that you'd be able to see in from the outside with it installed. But seeing out just looks a little dimmer. ... show more

  • Perfect for Turf-facing Windows Perfect for Turf-facing Windows
Size: 10ft x 54"
Perfect thickness, easy install (if you’re familiar with vinyl) and looks great!

  • Keep the sticky side clean during the installation!
Size: 0.5ft x 54"
Went on well, easy to work with. Using a small Bondo squeegee helps. Make a pattern of where you want it to fit, remember that the places where the unrolled film bulges up from the paper backing will change the size of the film relative to your template. Clean the windshield well, use lots of windshield cleaner spray to keep the inside of the windshield good and wet as you will have to peel it off, put it back, adjust, etc. Once you get it in place, you can squeegee the water out and it sticks good. DO NOT drop in on the floor or use a dusty workbench! Any little bits of dust or crud will go through the holes in the film, especially where it has bulged away from the backing, you will have trouble getting them off, and they will show up when you get done. ... show more

  • Works as advertised
Size: 10ft x 54"
Good product, but after you unroll and cut it there are some wrinkles you’ll have to remove before applying to the windows.

  • I would never use this again or recommend it on south facing windows. I would never use this again or recommend it on south facing windows.
Size: 10ft x 54"
I was happy with this product when purchased in 2023. It was used to stop the reflection from the window to the artificial turf. Easy to measure, cut and apply to window. It did help to have 2 people to install it. Now, fast forward 3 years and I have a different opinion. The material started to shrink on the window (see pic) and needed to be removed. The chore of doing this was extremely difficult and frustrating. The adhesive sticks to everything and anything that is touched. The product does not peal off in one piece, some areas were brittle and broke off in small pieces. Even with scrapping, half of the adhesive stays on the window See the pic of the rag stuck to the glass. I went through multiple pairs of vinyl gloves and hard plastic razor blades. Then had to use acetone to remove the adhesive that still remained on the glass. I could only use one piece of rag at a time for removal. Once the adhesive was on the rag, it would smear the adhesive back on the window. FYI: I live in Southern California the the windows were south facing. ... show more

  • Great Adhesive but Lacks Consistent Privacy
Size: 1ft x 54"
The VViViD One-Way Perforated Window Film is a specialized adhesive wrap designed to provide privacy and sun protection while allowing visibility from one side. While the application and adhesive properties are impressive, the actual privacy performance may vary significantly based on lighting and viewing angles. Installation and Adhesion In terms of functionality and application, this product works well and sticks well. The adhesive backing is strong and reliable, ensuring that the film stays securely in place once applied to the glass. It is relatively easy to work with, making the "wrap" process straightforward for those familiar with vinyl applications. Privacy Performance and Visibility The primary concern with this film is the level of privacy it offers. Unfortunately, it is quite easily see-through. While it is marketed as a one-way privacy film, the effect is inconsistent. It blocks the view only if viewed from certain angles; otherwise, it remains almost as clear as glass. This transparency can be a major drawback for those looking for total daytime privacy. The perforated design is intended to create a one-way mirror effect, but in practice, if the lighting conditions aren't perfect or if someone is looking from the "wrong" angle, the privacy is essentially nonexistent. Conclusion Overall, this film is a high-quality adhesive product that is easy to install, but it falls short as a dedicated privacy solution. It is a good option if you are looking for a subtle tint or light reduction, but if your main goal is to completely block the view from the outside, you may find this film too transparent. ... show more

  • Works Great Works Great
Size: 0.5ft x 54"
This window film was very easy to apply. It may appear as though it is too wide for the windshield, but it isn't. It is the perfect width. The film is of a decent thickness and is easy to lift and reposition. I used a small smooth ice scraper to smooth the film as I applied it. Then gently ran the ice scraper over it after I completed the application. The scraper was a perfect width for this. I haven't decided if I will like the look of this for my side windows. But, it looks great on the windshield. One roll was more than enough for the windshield. Highly recommended. ... show more
